For neck sizing brass and fire forming it to your chamber, you can't beat these dies.

Overall, a tremendous investment that I would highly recommend.

(posting this under my wife' account since I don't have one) I am a former Marine Scout Sniper who still likes to shoot frequently. I first learned of the kit when I read Mr. Lee's book while investigating whether I wanted to try reloading (Gold Medal Match is expensive!). I have seen people spend many hundreds of dollars on various reloading equipment. In his manual, Mr. Lee claims that with the EZ Loader kit a person can load more accurate ammo than factory match. I figured for roughly $30 plus supplies it was worth the investment to see. My first batch was nowhere near match BUT....I went back home, re-read the manual, took closer care in my loading and my last trip to the range was impressive. I have a Remington 700 SPS Tactical with a Nikon Tactical scope. I was consistently holding sub MOA groups at 100 and had two groups that measured less than 1/2 inch. Mr. Lee did not lie. You can reload more accurate ammo faster and cheaper than you can buy factory. Needless to say, I started calling and emailing my friends that shoot and they have all purchased one. The key to loading accurate ammo is to ensure you are following the directions closely and weigh the powder (don't just measure using the included measure). Of course, you need good supplies. In all, I have calculated that I can reload .308 with Sierra Match bullets for about 44 cents per round compared to about $1 or more for factory match. Overall, a tremendous investment that I would highly recommend.

These are great tools for loading shells. My first reloading experience, over 30 years ago, was on a Lee Loader for .270 (in fact, I'm looking for another one here!). Takes about an hour or so to make a box of shells (50 count that is). Definately not fast; but for a novice, it's great to be able to shoot a box of shells, then reload them that evening!

These loaders are very accurate because they only neck-size the brass. This means less wear on the brass, as the full length is not being resized, and expandend (during firing). This does mean that you can only use either new brass or brass that has already been fired out of the same weapon.
Discounted once-fired brass will need to be full length sized before using this press. I found this out the hard way! I had to take a mallet to my bolt to get a cartridge "unstuck" from the chamber!!!

One warning, though, the primer is seated by placing the primer in the spring loaded primer 'holder' and the case is hammered on the primer using a rod inserted inside the case. Very delicate hammer is required. I typically accidently set off 3 or 4 primers out of box of 100! Make sure your powder is no where near you while priming your cases!!!

Better yet, use the Lee Auto-Prime for setting the primers; much quick and much safer!
My kids love to help me "build bullets" as they call it! Great fun!!

I was warned not to order this by a local retailer because ti is a waste of time. The guy who said this is only half right. This mechanism does take a little while to figure out, and it does take longer to assemble a round than the more fancy and much more expensive machines. Past that, I think this is brilliant! The first couple rounds can be slightly awkward, but it's really not that bad. If you aren't worried about speed, this thing is great!
The pros of it are many!
-very simple to use
-easily adjusted to guarantee proper bullet length
-simple primer placement!
-easy easy easy!!!
-Easy to use for the novice.
-does NOT require a whole workbench to reload!!!
-Small enough to take to the range to make adjustments as you go.

As for the cons, I can't think of many.
-due to design, it may be easy to accidentally alter the length of the round
-does take time to get anywhere...
-easy to use for the novice.

This is supposed to come with a chart with specific recipes for bullet weights, although mine did not. I called the manufacturer directly, and they were prompt to send me a replacement sheet. You can also google recipes, and you'll be blown away at the sheer number of them. This caliber is a reloader's dream because it is so versatile. I do recommend you read up on proper weights and what works for your rifle's twist before getting too far into reloading! I posted "easy for hte novice" as both a good and a bad thing because, as a novice myself, it is very nice to be able to pick this up and throw a round together. BUT you really do need to read up on reloading safety and practices before using this tool! Reloading can be dangerous, or even deadly, if done wrong.

I really like my loader. It has shown me how improved accuracy can occur if one load's one's own ammunition. It's easy to use. At first the idea of seating bullets with a mallet seemed scary to me but as long as one follows the procedure, it's fine. In addition to this loader kit I have used a small electronic scale and now a Lee balance beam scale to measure powder. I'm working up accuracy loads for my .223 Ruger Varmint rifle. -- JG

A great way to handload with a minimum of space. All you need is this loader kit, a plastic or wooden mallet, powder, bullets, and primers. In other words, a whole loading setup that you can fit in a shoebox! Not the fastest way to handload, but a great inexpensive way to start, and if you don't shoot a lot, it might be all you ever need.
