This album is brimming with heavy doody soon to be rock anthems, I love it! this should be on your St. Patrick's day wish list if you have one. Very inspiring tunes with wonderful music, if your sister likes Elton John you are gonna love this!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fine Debut, February 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Leels (Audio CD)
This debut album shines and sparkles like an early Byrds album. The songs are highly melodic and listenable and the musicianship and vocals are impeccable. If there was any justice in the musical world this album would be a best seller and the boys in the band would be rich and famous. Alas......

5.0 out of 5 stars most awesome, July 18, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Leels (Audio CD)
This is the oddest sing-along album I own. The Leels have a vibe that reminds me of Neutral Milk Hotel, Sparklehorse, and instrumental movie soundtracks all rolled into one. Great songwriting and interesting lyrics.
Mandatory Highsteppers is beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Facial Hair!, February 20, 2002

Members of Home and Meringue (two of the best bands ever to come out of Florida) combine to produce one of the happiest albums I've ever heard from the genre of "Indie Rock". Top notch songs from three different songwriters and hot Skynnyrdesque guitar licks from Chris Sturgeon and Trey Conner.
Buy this cd if you like the Bee Gees and facial hair.
