This feeder is very suitable for what it is made for--feeding LIVE worms to fish. Reviews complaining about the feeder 'not working' are probably using some other food for which this was not made. With live worms the fish do not have to try to get at the food inside the cone--the worms themselves squirm out so that there are all sorts of worm parts jutting out the holes for the fish to peck at. Things to consider if you are buying this would be if you have community fish that can all feed at once or will one fish go to it and keep other fish away. Also, do you intend on feeding live worms? If you do not feed live worms often this is probably not for you (but it is still nice to have around). This one has the option of free floating which can be nice as fish won't get used to feeding only in one area (particularly useful if you feed using other methods that may scatter the food more--like flakes).

Overall this works fine. The feeder is a good size and floats nicely. Problem is the way the feeder ring attaches to the suction cup. Theres a tiny little nipple that sticks out of the suction cup and there is a tang with a groove on the feeder ring. Doesnt make a lot of sense. In fact its kind of stupid. What a guy needs to do is widen the hole in the suction cup and try and attached to feeder ring. May require buying new suction cup. Not sure, havent wanted to mess with it yet

This in my opinion this is the best way to feed your fish with live worms this one works fine the suction cup holds well or you can just float it in the tank.

I got one of these to feed my puffers bloodworms. It's nice but the suction cup doesn't work well. I actually super glued it to the cone loop so it stopped popping apart and it does work better. I don't have issues with my dwarf puffers getting the worms, they can reach their tiny beaks into the cracks ok. They are lazy though and like to wait for me to scatter some worms for them. It's something, but I'm still trying to find the best way to feed them without having extra bloodworms they don't find in the tank.

This is a nice and sturdy little feeder. It does the job; can't say more than that. Amazon needs to reconsider the minimum word count; I'm tired of saying more than I want to.
