I would like to appologize on behalf of the Christian and Gamer community for this pitiful excuse for a game. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but that was actually the nicest wording I could muster. My husband is a game developer, and I happen to enjoy console and PC games immensely. We both also consider Jesus to be our Lord, Savior, and friend. So naturally, we were curious over the idea of merging spiritual concepts and Biblical principles with gaming enjoyment.
The opening video gave us some hope that this apparent stategy-based game could show promise. That hope was, I'm sad to say, repeatedly bludgeoned to death before being dragged through poorly defined and highly pixilated streets. But nevermind the graphics. Our biggest issue with the game was its content, which came off rather immediently as judgemental, legalistic, abrasive, condemning, and last but not least...hokey. Go find eight friends to invite to church? Come on now, people. Kids listening to generic rock music bring down your 'spirit' to the point of character apathy? I guess in that case, my husband and I would be considered the 'bad guys' in this particularly narrow and sheltered version of reality. Bad joke or no, the only effect we could imagine a game like this having on someone who doesn't have some vaguely accurate concept of Christianity would be to further aggrivate the intollerant and unrelatable stereotype, whilst generating further repulsion and misunderstanding. If I happened to be someone on a mission to make Christianity and even the Left Behind series look pathetic, this would be one of the first pieces of media in my arsenal. As my mission is something quite the opposite, I ask that if you havn't played this game, please don't bother. And if you have, please see it as a parody and find it in your heart to forgive.

Okay, the idea of the game is this; the rapture has happened and the antichrist is on the loose. It's your job to convert as many people in the game before Jesus returns.
The only way to get more characters on your side is to convert them. Hence, the spiritual warfare aspect of the game. You can train your converts to be pastors, missionaries, gospel singers, prayer warriors etc. you can also have them build buildings to house more converts to train, house and feed them. This sounds like a lot of micromanaging and it is. The point and click aspect is only fun for so long. Not to mention the fact that the Ai is a little dim and you constantly have to tell them what to do without them doing it themselves. One nice part of the game is its mapped view of New York City. However the streets feel constricted so you cannot move your otherwise enormous army around very easily. Plus even though New York is mapped, there are limited varieties of the buildings. That might be okay if you could earn them but the game only lets you get what it will let you. The characters all look the same even after you convert them. They do change to the same outfit after awhile but it's still a pain to tell them apart. The game does offer online play but only to play as the peacekeeping forces. You also gain access to all their powers. Like doctors and colleges-oh I'm so scared! The game is well crafted to be a decent RTS game without being annoying on the Christian angle. This is at least more interesting than The Bible Game. But I still give it the same score because of the poor graphics, micromanagement and repetitive, boring game play. If you're buying this game for its fun-factor and not it's religious content, you're going to regret paying for it. Pros- Somewhat easy to learn Lots of different units Cons- Micromanagement bad graphics boring game play

The premise is just so nuts that I had to try it!
Honestly, this game was designed very poorly. The game play might have pasted as acceptable in the days of the first Diablo, but by modern gaming standards, this is a laugh. It is clear that not only was this thing rushed for Christmas, it is also relying on hype and a niche market to sell copies. I honestly would not recommend this game to anyone.
