5.0 out of 5 stars My 8 year old daughter and I both read them!
The other reviews are right on! The books are great - fast paced and interesting. My daughter and I both enjoyed them. Since the books are for an older age, I read them before my daughter.

The books are not scarey and should be read by any child, especially those in Christian homes! We never quite know the extent of our children's faith, these books may help...

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not read.
When I was given this book for Christmas, I was not thinking of how bad it would be. My younger sisters are 7 and 10, and I wanted to read it before they got their little fingers on it. Well, I read it. Okay, I am a Baptist, so therefore I am a Christian. BUT, this book was so distrubing to me. This book states that teenagers and children should NOT question God in...

I have read both the adult and kid Left Behind series and recommend them! The kids books are almost better than the adult ones!

5.0 out of 5 stars Left Behind, February 22, 2000

This series is great for all ages! I have been reading these and the older "Left Behind"'s. I think it's really interesting how the older books and the younger ones corrolate in the events that take place. I encourage you, if you are old enough, to read both series of books. When you do it covers both a kid's perspective an adult's perspective on the Rapture and the Tribulation. I look forward to more books from these authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eyes Opened Wide, December 15, 1999
This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed the Left Behind series of books about the kids. The book starts off with four regular families living everyday lives. Some of them are very Godly people and some of them are not. The four children left behind were all shocked to find out that their families were gone. The rapture had come, and they were left behind. The book tells about the life after the rapture. If you are on earth, it is like you are in hell. The children realize they have to get in right with God, start living a Godly life and try their best to be like they should, for when God comes back, they want to go with him. If anyone does not know about God and is not aware of the choice you have to make as an individual in your lifetime, these books will really make you think. The thought of being lift behind horrifies me. You do not know what your future holds, or if you will ever get another chance. As the four children's eyes were being opened wide, they realize what they have missed and what they were going to have to do. They have to do everything it takes to try again, this time better though. As the children learn the truth and search desperatly for answers, they realize the after affects of the happening and realize what that they HAVE to do better and study the word of Jesus Christ and get closer to God day by day all day everyday. I recommend this series of books to everyone, everywhere. It really opens your eyes and makes you think. It in a way scares you and makes you just want to be closer to God and be in the word. Because of the descriptions and happenings in the book, they just seem so real and just true that it scares you to just not want to be with family and friends forever and never alone. Everyone needs to read these books and continue on by reading the words of Jesus Christ.

4.0 out of 5 stars Left Behind : The Kids, January 29, 2000
This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
This series is a great! From the point of view of kids who've lost their families, it shows the possible problems of the Tribulation while trying to get on with their life. I have read these and passed them on to my friends who have really enjoyed them, too. I don't have time to read my mom's big books but we discuss the differences of the two sets. ~ Rahne Griggs

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Books, May 22, 2000

This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
These are great books. I am thirteen years old and I've read#1- #8 and am waiting for book #9. I read about one a day. They wereso good I just flew through them. They really help you understand the end of the world from a christian perspective and refer to the bible and state some verses in it. I really respect the characters in the stories all though they are not real. They represet brave christians who have accepted christ and changed. They also help dislay how you need to talk out about God. These books really deserve 5 stars and I encourage you to read them. I know these books will touch you as they touched me.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love these books, November 14, 2006

First, let me say that I am adult with 3 children of my own and I like young adult type books in general. These books are very easy to read. They are the type of book that you don't want to put down. The storyline moves pretty quickly keeping you constantly engaged and wanting to know what is going to happen next.

The books are not watered down on its stance about Christianity and are based on the book of Revelation. They are a bit preachy at times. They consistantly uses scriptures as we see the children left behind having to rely on and grow in their faith. They consistently references scriptures in the book of Revelations as events predicted in Revelations start to unfold.

As an adult, I welcome the reminder that I need to live with more faith and rely on God. The children go through many difficult situations, and we can see how faith in action works. The book of Revelations is a confusing book, so I also enjoy this vivid interpretation, and if the books get too preachy, well it's easy enough to skip over.

The topic in this series is serious, controversial and scary. Perhaps better suited for a mature child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Books!, March 13, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
The Left Behind series is great for me considering I'm a kid I really don't know if adults would like it or not, but if you are an adult reading this I'd recomend Left Behind the original series. I thought this book was great because while its action packed it also teaches the gospel to the reader. This book also keeps your interest, so you could read it in one night, considering that I read the books seperately. I'd strongly suggest reading this book if you like mysterios and exciting books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great books and i would give more than 5 stars, June 30, 2004

This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
These books are great! i started reading them and i also got my mom into reading them and now she's a couple books ahead of me! This boxed set is a perfect starter to get you into reading these eye-opening books! The first book is kind of boring, but keep reading, it'll turn out interseting. When i first read the book of Revelation in the Bible, i didn't really understand it. I thought it would all come at the same time. These books really helped explain it to me and now i'm stronger in my faith and in my reading. These books are really great for children and adults and it helps you understand more. Sometimes these books bring me to tears because of what our world will suffer and will be decieved by the antichrist. These authors are trying to get the message to you that it might be to late so you need to be saved. I really think it was great that i found an interest in these books. they make you want to get on your knees and really pray, i really like these books and i hope you will like the too. ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Left Behind, November 13, 2005
This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
Let me start off by saying that I think these books are amazing. But I do not think that they should be read by non-Christians if all they're going to do is bash them. I am extremely angered at the people who are NOT Christians and decide to read the books and then say how horrible they are on the internet. I recommend these books for Christians because they increased my faith in my religion. It shows how little we know about the topic and it certainly made me pay more attention in church. All the information that the book states about the rapture comes from the Bible. They have quotes to top it off. To conclude, I think these books are amazing. I could not put them down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Books, June 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Left Behind: The Kids: Collection 1: Volumes 1-6 (Mass Market Paperback)
I really liked this set of books, especially when I started to read the adult books {For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the adult series titles are: Left Behind, Tribulation Force, Nicolae, Soul Harvest, Apollyon, Assassins, The Mark, and Desecration, [soon to be released]} and saw how they tie in with the kids' books. Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan are vivid characters. They are real enough that I just have to finish each one I get that very day. I managed to get the two new ones read in one day.
