This film is done with an honest simplicity that chronicles her journey through all the stages of treatment for breast cancer. It is funny, touching, sad, frightening, and very full of heart. For anyone facing chemo/radiation or just getting a diagnosis...or anyone supporting someone with breast cancer, this puts a face on a frightening and unknown process that lends realism and hope. The process for Gerry, her partner and the incredible involvement of her community was an inspiration for how people can come together and actively cope and heal when facing something so difficult.
