5.0 out of 5 stars great introduction to important ideas and opinion in America, December 4, 1998

This review is from: Left, Right and Center: Voices from across the Political Spectrum (Paperback)
I had to buy this book for an English class in college. I initially thought is was a total waste of money and overheard many students' similar sentimens. Now I am glad I bought the book because it is chock full of interesting essays from across the political spectrum. The seven chapters range from debate on multiculturalism to social values and contains essays from a variety of viewpoints. Most essays are written by contemporay authors who have great opinions and ideas. The huge arena of contempory political thought is introduced here with triumph.
