Enjoyable live album,

Coldplay previously has released two other live recordings: the outstanding "Trouble - Norwegian Live EP", issued in 2001, and the "Live 2003" CD/DVD combo. Now comes Coldplay's third live release.
"Left Right Left Right" (9 tracks; 40 min.) relies heavily on the Viva La Vida album and its subsequent Prospekt's March EP. In fact all but 2 1/2 tracks (Clocks, Fix You, and The Hardest Part, which appears here in a heavily reworked version in a meddley with Postcards From Far Away) on this release are from the Viva La Vida/Prospekt's sessions. The album starts off with the best track on here, a glorious sounding "Glass Of Water" (which by all means belongs on the album, not the EP). "42" is equally up to the task. Amidst all these new songs, "Clocks" sounds somewhat out of place frankly (and of course a different live version can already be found on the Live 2003 CD). "Strawberry Swing" ends a fantastic first half of this release. I'm not as big a fan of the second half. I've never like the "Viva La Vida" song much (and am puzzled by its popularity), "Fix You" remains a strong song in their catalogue. The release ends nicely with "Death and All His Friends". Overall, this is a great live collection. Don't run to your record store for this, though. Indeed, this CD is given for free to anyone attending the 2009 Coldplay US summer tour, so why not do yourself a favor, buy a ticket to an upcoming show, and get this along the way. Coldplay played in Cincinnati a few days ago for a sell-out crowd of 18,000 at Riverbend, and the band put on a thoroughly enjoyable show for almost 2 hours. To get this handed to you as you exit the show was just the cherry on the cake. (And if you can't make it to a show, this is also available as a free download from the band's website.) Tracklisting: 1. Glass of Water 2. 42 3. Clocks 4. Strawberry Swing 5. The Hardest Part/Postcards From Far Away 6. Viva La Vida 7. Death Will Never Conquer 8. Fix You 9. Death and All His Friends

Great live CD!,

Awesome live CD. I got it for free at the Coldplay concert in Washington, Clark County Amphitheater. Their live versions of their music sound great, highly recommend this CD to Coldplay fans. You can also get the mp3 version free from their official site.

Awesome concert, awesome live album,

I am the son of Ann Robinson, and in the month of July, i saw Coldplay perform at the Sleep Train Amphitheater and the concert was, just amazing and hard to put to words. All my favorite songs were played, the great interaction with the audience and this free album. I popped it into my mothers car CD player, and the songs sounded like they were recorded while the songs were being played that night. It is, however, too bad they didn't put the live version of God Put a Smile On Your Face, thats the only bad thing, but hey, it was free. COLDPLAY RULES!!!!!!!!!!

Great music. Sometimes live songs sound bad, but the quality of these songs is not lacking at all. And not bad for it being free.

i'm not the worlds biggest coldplay fan but prior to my experience with this album i had heard several songs that i liked. this album has several popular songs and some songs that i had never heard prior to getting this. it had been available for free download directly from coldplay, which is obviously a great deal. there is enough variance between the originals and the live versions on this album for me to feel like this album is different but i haven't found any odd or annoying aspects i sometimes find on live albums. i highly recommend.

Coldplay's 'Live 2003' is now 6 years old, and well in need of a follow-up. The 9-track 'LeftRightLeftRightLeft' isn't exactly of the same caliber, but for a free download, it's a welcome reminder of what happens when you put these guys in a room with thousands of loving fans. The collection of live performances focuses on the band's more recent material, duplicating only "Clocks" from the 2003 release. Fans will find something to love in every song; others should be prepared to be blown away by the sheer beauty of "Fix You."
Standout tracks: Fix You, Death And All His Friends

Left Right Left Right Left is thirty-nine minutes and fifty-four seconds and was released on May 15, 2009. Left Right Left Right Left is a live CD and was giving out free at concerts. I got mine for free while working at the Alpine Valley Music Theater. The CD contains ten songs all together that were recorded live at their concerts. Four of the songs on the CD charted. Since I never heard of the group and this is my first time hearing them play, the music on it is not bad. It is very clear and easy to listen to. Left Right Left Right Left gets an AAA+++.

Recorded during their Viva La Vida tour, this album is an amazing collection of live tracks. The exclusive hard copy is out for free to people who attend the concert, and is a worthy addition to my Coldplay album collection. If you are a fan of live albums, then this is a must have. However, it does tend to get a bit loud. If you're hesitant over purchasing the album, it is available for free on coldplay's website.
