5.0 out of 5 stars Change can be a good thing!, February 8, 2005

Mr. Bring shows, no matter what your age, change can be a good thing, and that some things are worth sacrificing for others. The book kept me wondering, from cover to cover, what was next - What decision will Justin make? How will it affect his relationship with his family? With his girlfriend? His job?

I'll be watching for more books by this new author!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing debut novel., March 3, 2005
By
avinity "avinity" (The Cornhusker State) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Left Standing (Paperback)
For a debut novel, Mr. Bring certainly deserves acknowledgement as a true writer.

Justin Mason is going through a coming-of-age phase in his life that presents its own set of challenges. With a sick grandfather, a less-than-sincere girlfriend, and a new job at the Chicago Gazette, the book plunges you in to real life from the very beginning. As you travel with him through the following two years, you experience his ups and downs, stress with his stresses, and feel relief by the end that he finally figured it out. His life is put out there for you to read - and you will find yourself relating to it more than you thought you would. There are points in this book that you will find yourself saying 'Wow, that's exactly how I would have done it.'

Mr. Bring has established himself as an author, and set a high bar for his following work. Great book.
