I hate pantyhose and so I usually only wear skirts in the summer when it's too warm for stockings. I recently purchased a Vassarette garter belt and discovered how much more comfortable garters and thigh-highs can be. I just ordered one of these in red and wore it for the first time today. I like it much better than the Vassarette. The clasps are easier to work with and sturdier. These aren't just pretty, but also pratical. I wore them all day without a problem. I'm going to be ordering another in black.

As a garter belt, this suffers more than its fair share of problems. The back is basically a sideways bra strap with an adjuster and a simple hook and loop catch. Unless you have a perfectly flat stomach, it often ends up rolling down or twisting and unhooking at inopportune moments. I also had it slide over my hips when set as tight as it could be -- it's far too stretchy. The material is a bit scratchy as well, making it uncomfortable for extended wear. The clasps which attach to stockings are the only major plus, as they seem to hold firm.

Now, if you want to don a short skirt and give your lover a thrill, this is perfect for the bedroom. If you're not walking, dancing beyond a bit of a shimmy, or wearing much over it, the main problems of the belt are avoided.

In short: for use in the bedroom, perfect! It's a cheap accessory to add some visual appeal to a special night. If you want something that will keep your stockings up through an entire day or even an entire party, find a different product.

I received this today, a day earlier than the first day of the estimated delivery. I already tried it on and it fits perfect. It is definitely the quality I would expect from Leg Avenue. It is soft to touch, beautifully made and the perfect fit. I know my husband will be pleased.

I like it very much. I have a 38" waist and it is comfortable. I have it at its shortest length. In its longest relaxed state it is 34". 48" 50" stretched taught and is 31" at its shortest to 45" stretched. Remember I have a 38" waist and it's comfortable at its shortest length. The garter tabs are metal which I like. (NOTE However the plastic part of the tabs are held to the tabs by a small plastic lip). And can come loose. So I used dental floss and put 3 stitches in each tab to insure it wont work loose. This is the reason I gave it 3 stars. Why dental floss? Because your stitching into plastic. The floss is waxed and wont weaken the plastic over time. All 4 garters are adjustable. And measure as follows. From the waist band to the garter tabs (in its relaxed state) is about 13" long. At its shortest 9". The length adjuster tabs are plastic and have little gripper teeth as does the waistband. waistband fastens with an (S)hook plastic in the back. Overall it's sturdy not a lot of loose threads in my opinion it's well made. A lot of garments of this type are expensive but shoty quality. It's machine wash but this garment relies on lace to hold it all together.(I'd stick with hand wash in Woolite) I wore it at work and it was comfortable. Would have been nice to adjust a bit smaller. But, stockings are always working themselves to their smallest (out of the box state). I'm not a big fan of thongs, so I have no opinion to offer. overall I am happy with this purchase. And would buy from this seller again. Item arrived in 4 days (cross country). I'm a C.D And hope this was helpful to all.

This garter belt looks acceptable with average fabric, but in case you are thin beware that the one size fits all is too large for a 5'8" 130 pound woman.

I was looking for a garter belt that would work functionally - aka hold up my stockings - more importantly than looking good. This item is comfortable, and the bits that hook to the stockings seem to work fine. However, it is extraordinarily stretchy, to a fault. I put it on, and after a couple hours it had slipped from my 34' waist, around my 44' butt, and then down to my thighs, failing to hold up the stockings, or even itself. I ordered the plus size version because I wear a size 14/16 and generally anything that says "one size" means one size will not fit me.. and it is the right size for my waist at the smallest setting, until it stretches all the way out and falls down. Fortunately, I have the sewing skills to give it some structure and make it functional, but I wouldn't recommend the purchase.

Don't get me wrong. I love these and they look really sexy on my girlfriend. The quality is surprisingly good. The stockings are not very durable, but what do you expect for this price? The only real problem is that they are made for someone with at least 35" hips. The garter quickly drooped on my size 2 girlfriend. That is why I deducted a star.

This thing could barely stay up and fell apart the first night I wore it! I have another, cheap one that I've had for a year without it falling apart, this particular one is no good.

I was looking for a garter that was cheap-ish, but still sexy, comfortable, and practical. This one fit the bill, and I'd probably buy it again if I needed another.

This set fits nicely, and the fabric is comfortable. Yet, the lace knit is slightly a little too loose, meaning not only does the lace look a little weird, but it feels slightly rough too. I understand some people like a looser lace, though. The garters work fine, and have a nice expanding section like bra straps, which result in giving a much better fit than some other garters. The clips hold up just as well as other ones.
