When young widow Nicole Keller-Mattson returns to her hometown to make a fresh start, she soon becomes involved in an old mystery with new and dangerous twists! It is a larger truth than either of them first suspects, and they are drawn together as they face unexpected threats and the ugliness of uncovering a "legacy of lies". Nicole is the widow of a police officer who lost his life in the line of duty, and she has reservations about becoming involved with another man in a high-risk profession. However, Rich has a quiet, commanding strength, and a gentle, respectful concern and care in his feelings for Nicole. They make a great team, and they soon realize that each of them may have found the someone special who will complete their lives. Rich is a masculine, handsome man, who admires Nicole's beauty and her intelligence and insight. Working together to solve the mystery, they also find their own answers to questions of the heart. "Legacy of Lies" is a well-paced mystery, with a story line that builds in interest as intriguing revelations are added along the way to the final resolution. I look forward to reading more romantic suspense from Jill Elizabeth Nelson.

This book is a winner! It kept me turning the pages and wondering until the end "who done it"! If you haven't read anything by Jill Elizabeth Nelson, you should! Her good characters are so alive - so believable - and with the kind of Christian values you don't find in most romances these days. And her villans are just as believable - the kind you can root against with gusto. Read it! You won't be disappointed!

This book was very hard to put down!! It kept me thinking the whole time I was reading - who really had done the deed? The author has done a fabulous job of keeping the reader in suspense. The sub-plots serve to keep you wondering as well as lending even greater reality to the story. A wonderful way to spend a few hours!!

If you like suspense then this is a great book for you! This is a fantastic story with twist and turns that will keep you wanting to keep reading all night! Right when you think you have figured the plot out Jill twists it again bringing a whole new element to the story. This is a great read. Jill Elizabeth Nelson does it again!
