5.0 out of 5 stars One last wish, November 1, 2000
This review is from: The Legacy: Making Wishes Come True (One Last Wish) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book reveals the mystery behind JWC, the founder of the One last wish foundation. Even though I knew some things about this book already because I read She Died too Young first by mistake, it didn't spoil this book which is my favourite of all of Lurlene McDaniel's books. It was slightly different from her otheras because it was longer, which was good as it gave you more time to get into the story. It follows the story of Jenny and Richard, starting just before Jenny is diagnosed with leukiema. This book has a very sad ending, but you are made to see that their is still hope left in Jenny's legacy of One Last Wish and Jenny House. It has also made me look at the other books in the series in a different way, the letter seems to mean more, for example. I think this is a book that lots of different people could like and I defintely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring tale of a courageous girl. Must read!, August 27, 1999

This review is from: The Legacy: Making Wishes Come True (One Last Wish) (Mass Market Paperback)
Finally, the mysterious JWC revealed! I always wondered who she was,so I was thrilled to get my hands on this book. It was marvelous that Jenny wanted to make a difference in other sick kids' lives. This book also showed how much friendship and love can help people, sick or well. The ending was poignant. However, I wonder what happened to Kimbra.Did she live or die? Despite this little mystery,I still loved this book. Everyone, young and old, should read it. It proves that teens can make great differences in the world. A little warning:don't read Please Don't Die first,or else it'll spoil the ending. Now,buy it from Amazon.com and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME, February 4, 2000
By A Customer
When I was reading the other One Last Wish books I found myselfwanting to know who JWC was. After reading this book I finallyunderstood.

Jenny's parents were killed when she was eight years old. Richard who is four years older than her befriends her but her grandmother (who she now lives with) does not aprove of their friendship. When Jenny becomes sick with leukemia she doesn't want Richard to see her. But during her sickness she finds out what true friendship is and what true love is. Before she dies she decides to leave a legacy behind her to help others going through the same thing she did. This is a heart touching story and I did not put it down till I was done. I recomend this to people of all ages not just young adults/teens. END

5.0 out of 5 stars Jenny and Richard loved each other so much..., August 11, 2001
By
This review is from: The Legacy: Making Wishes Come True (One Last Wish) (Mass Market Paperback)
Hmmm... How should I start??? Well, I really like this book. It has to be in my top 5 favorite Lurlene books. Jenny was always in love with Richard, and the same goes with Richard. Then, Jenny came down with leukemia, and she tries her hardest to fight this illness. When Jenny became sick, Richard finally found out he couldn't live without her because he truly cared for her. (Sniffs...) Then Jenny goes into remission, but then gets sick again. Soon enough, she made it through the New Year, but died. Later, Richard went to the cave where the two of them use to hang out with each other when they were younger. It brought a lot of memories back to him, and he found a gift Jenny left for him months ago. This book left me so emotional. I recommend you to read it.

This review is from: The Legacy: Making Wishes Come True (One Last Wish) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read many of Lurlene McDaniel's books and this has definetly been one of my favorites. After reading almost all of teh One Last Wish books, I wanted to know how it all started. Lurlene McDaniel does such a good job of keeping the book interesting and impacting. I could not believe how sad the book was, at one point I had to stop reading because I couldn't see anymore I was crying so hard. I recommend this book to everyone.
