This book is easy to read and describes legal project management in practical terms. It recognizes current issues and challenges in the legal industry including increasing demand of clients for alternative pricing arrangements and additional value for fees.

This book is a life-saver for the "accidental project manager" in a law firm or legal department and a relief for any legal professional who has found traditional project management methodologies overly cumbersome for legal practice. Many of us who style ourselves as legal project managers came to project management through our involvement in managing large electronic discovery projects, which lends itself to more traditional project management approaches. Most material about applying "project management" to legal work in general, however, amounts to little more than time-management and communication advice with a new label.

Stephen Levy, provides a balanced, practical, and immediately applicable approach to managing legal projects, which avoids overly burdensome processes without dumbing things down. This is the first book I recommend to any legal professional looking to better understand and apply project management methods to legal work.

This has to be the single most useless and uninformative book on any subject I have ever had the misfortune to read. It contains little to no substance at all on the subject of Legal Project Management. It's truly just a collection of trite statements with no meaning and useless, winding anecdotes cobbled together to fill 300 pages. I wish I could return this book. I will certainly be throwing it in the trash so no other person ever has to suffer the misfortune of having the copy I bought inflicted upon them.

I never write reviews (this may be the first Amazon review I have ever written), but feel so incredibly ripped off by this book that I feel I owe a duty to others to write this review and warn other people not to make the same mistake I did.

The author should be ashamed to put his name on this.
