Excellent Resource For Understanding How To Find, Understand, & Apply The Law, September 30, 2010
This review is from: The Legal Research Manual: A Game Plan for Legal Research and Analysis (Paperback)
Review of "The Legal Research Manual: A Game Plan For legal Research and Analysis" by Christopher and Jill Wren.
This book is a gem. Understanding that the "key to successful legal research is organization," this text will show the reader and give the paralegal a plan or "roadmap" to gather facts, find the relevant law, and then weave those elements into a pattern that results in a persuasive argument.
Broken down into three parts: Part I: Background-Understanding the tools; Part II: Doing Legal Research; and Part III: Appendices; The Legal Research Manual is replete with examples and templates of briefs, Shepardizing, and legal examples (among others).
I can't think of another more complete, yet concise and readable text on the subject. I recommend it for all paralegal students and legal professionals.
Five stars without reservation.
