Don't Listen to the other amazon.com reviews,this movie is not that bad. If you look past the mistakes in this movie, you can still enjoy it. "The Legend of Bruce Lee" 2008 starring Danny Chan and Michelle Lang is interesting insight into the life of Martial Arts Legend Bruce Lee. The film has a poor English dub, but the story solid and well thought out. The "Legend of Bruce Lee" covers some stories of Bruce Lee's life that were not in 1993's Dragon: the Bruce Lee Story directed by Rob Cohen. For one thing, this movie does feature one of Bruce Lee's student, Taky Kamura and Master Wang! In "Dragon: The Bruce Lee story" there is no student named Taky Kamura or teacher named Master Wang. I think this film should be given more credit. "Legend of Bruce Lee" was originally a 50-episode Chinese Television series that aired in Chinese Television in 2008. The film is footage taken from Chinese TV series and made into a 3 hour TV movie. I like the trailer and I feel the film is not that bad. I do admit there are flaws in this movie but I overall think "The Legend of Bruce Lee" is a great film and is worth owning on DVD! A+ Please give this DVD a chance! A-

Kung fu movies don't get better than this shining star of an example!!! A fictionalized account of the Little Dragon's life probably doesn't do anything to enhance historical facts, but it's sure a lot of fun to see the young Bruce get into one fight after another. Hell, the copyright info hasn't cleared the screen and we already have Bruce getting into a fight with a bunch of thugs. Of course, the real beauty of this film comes from the over the top cheesy dialogue, awful music, cameos by famous martial arts cinema figures (Bolo Yueng, Dr. Claw from Enter the Dragon, etc.), excellent fights in a mutltitude of styles and Bruce's dad constantly telling him: "You've been fighting again!!! But you're kung fu's not good enough!!!"

Noteworthy fights include a fight with the master of Blindfold Style king fu, a fight in a seedy motel, fights at various martial arts schools and good old street fights with whips and chains. Really good stuff. This movies availability on DVD should be viewed as the Godsend it is!!!

I ought to put together a list of the unbelievable dialogue in this film. Some of the quotes are too good to be left in the film when you can be using them on your unsuspecting friends!

Hilarious and awesome all at the same time. The action is great and the film looks really cool. I wouldn't say it's 100% true to the facts of Bruce Lee's life, but that's why it's called "the LEGEND of Bruce Lee" and not "the TRUE HISTORY of Bruce Lee" I would recommend watching the film in Chinese with English subtitles, unless you want to have a good chuckle at some of the translations like, "I've never been defeated by a looser like you" and "Don't forget to bring a stretcher, FOR YOURSELF." I really found it really entertaining, and the fight scenes are great. Really cool actors doing the lead roles, just wish they would have had them do their own voices!
