The Legend of Discount Tire, Co.

If you've ever wanted to know how to treat your employees and especially your customer, then read this book. How this man created this company is amazing. I may be a little biased considering I worked for the company for 4 years and then joined the military, but I still use their services without the employee knowing I'm either a former employee or service member and am treated the same way no matter where I am. I've been to stores in 5 different states and it doesn't matter. I was honored to receive this book as a gift from Mr. Halle himself just before leaving the company for the military. Now that I am possibly leaving the military, I can't wait to go back to this great company. I've read it several times cover to cover. AMAZING story!!!

I hope everyone has a chance to work for a great Man and company like Discount Tire. Bruce leads by example and always thanks
his people and the rewards never stop coming. Even in this economy he continues to grow and continues his legacy. If you read the
book you know that all his top people started in the trenches just like him and he continues to promote from within. He always
talks about his employees and how he wants them to be happy and enjoying the benefits of his company. I love the man...

I wanted to read all about some of my favorite and some very successful companies and this book, like the others, is very good. I'm not surprised at the successful decisions made, but it's nice to read the details of how they came about.

Also recommend: Chick-Fil-A, In-N-Out Burger, and QT.

Always places where they work fast, efficiently, happily, and energetic. They don't waste time being grumpy. They're always happy to please and make things right!
