This is the best single disc collection of John Lennon songs that's available at this time. With all the versions That are listed on Amazon this one matches up the best with the information that's given. The copy I have has Parlophone listed as the label so that's what I'm going with. What the differences are between them I cannot say. They apparently have the same listing of songs.

With those qualifying statements I can say this is an excellent collection of post-Beatles John Lennon material. It has most of his classic songs that include "Imagine", "Cold Turkey", "Love", "Stand By Me" & "Working Class Hero". The next level of songs include "Instant Karma!", "Power to the People", "Mind Games" & "#9 Dream". My only complaint is the selection is way too heavy from the Milk and Honey cd. As with any compilation, we complain about or disagree with the song selection. I'm not any different.

The booklet doesn't provide any insightful information; it has a few photographs, a track listing, producer credits, authorship & the source each song came from. Scant listings for such an important & influential artist.

LENNON LEGEND is a perfect greatest hits collection. Twenty tracks of John Lennon's solo career are presented, and there's not a bad one in the bunch. A twenty page booklet has some great B&W repros of John photos. This album simply is "The Very Best Of John Lennon." Highest recommendation.
