This is a very dark and gloomy rap city, there are no songs about women, and no dance club anthems. The lyrics focus more on social issues, politics, and various ills of Gangs and American society. The beats on here are dark and fit the album's lyrics perfectly, Dusty and gritty. There are some tracks on here that give me goosebumps everytime i here em. Top tracks- God's Banker, Land of shadows,Reptillan Renaissance, Silent Crimes, and 2012.

I really don't have much to say but what a great album. Super tight from beginning to end. It has been a long long long time that I have been able to hear an album from beginning to end and not skip a song. The skits are even great. Super Classic.

the beats are heavy and dark. the lyrics are deep and the delivery is on point. This album blows away the sick smphony and dj FM albums that came from the sick camp. highly recommended

DJ Muggs never ceases to amaze me. If you're a Cypress Hill fan, you know how he changed his production style from album to album; the mark of a true artist. Well he's still at it. This album stands out amongst the "DJ Muggs vs...' series, even though they are all very good. Muggs and Sick Jacken work really well together. The sound he has provided for this album, fits Sick Jacken's thought-provoking, political/social commentary lyrics perfectly. Sick Jacken has turned out to be one of hip hop's most underrated warriors today. His lyrics are equally well written and delivered in English and Spanish. The single "El Barrio," is a song I could play over and over and never get tired of it. Cynic, who guest stars on the album, is also on point in both languages. It's sad how the fad of rapping in Spanish quickly faded in the early to mid 90's, but these real emcees don't care about fads or about wasting your time with cliches and gimmicks. Of course, everyone has their own musical taste, so I'm not going to beg you to buy this album, but at least check out the two videos on YouTube: "El Barrio," and "Land of Shadows." To me, this is one of the top ten best hip hop albums of the 2000-2010 decade! Outstanding.

This is one of the best Muggs collaborations I have. It is a very compelling album from start to finish. In interviews, Muggs has stated that he does not like putting out "just anything". This cd proves it. The lyrics are top-notch, and of course the beats are A+. The topics are not for a casual listener. You may have to take a few listens to fully digest this. TLOTMATA is well worth the price.
