Book Description

This is the legend of the Pictish people that inhabited Northern Scotland, their origins and their travails as they made their trek from their homelands to Scotland. It also tells of some of their late adventures. But, as in most legends, it is up to you to decide between truth and fiction.

3.0 out of 5 stars entertaining in a Forrest Gump kind of way February 28, 2014

You know how the movie Forrest Gump attributes a slew of historic events to Forrest? That's kind of what this book does. Forrest Gump didn't accidentally teach Elvis how to dance and the Picts didn't accidentally create golf.

If you are looking for history, I wouldn't bank on much of this being accurate. If you enjoy a heavy does of fiction with a small amount if history blended in, to give it a not so far removed from reality feeling, you might like this.

More About the Author

I'm an ex-kid, an ex-teenager, ex-military, ex-CIA, ex-IBM and an ex-missionary.
I still don't get the hang of this retirement stuff at 73. I can't stop finding stuff to do. So now I'm writing books. The first one is out; I'm working on the second, and there seven more in the wings.

I've lived in fourteen different states. I've been blessed with a varied and interesting life and have been writing for years but never bothered to publish except for the tech manuals in IBM.

I'm married and live withing two miles of all my grand-kids in a suberb of Pensacola.

By the way, the first photo of me that I uploaded is about 10 years old. I felt that I was being deceitful so I uploaded this practically bald one.
