This compilation is for those who jones for Ralfi's sultry and groovy voice unimpeded. And if you are like me, his records may have had only one or two jamming cuts. Every cut on this jams. First off, I am glad to whoever compiled this(and it is noted on the cd) did not name GREATEST HITS or some other turn off. The songs collected here bring out the best of Ralfi. Back in the day, he had only two challengers that grooved in both Spanish and English flawlessly: Jimmy Sabater and Joe Bataan. Pete Rodriguez would not let of boogaloo so he does not count. Ralfi simply brought it and took it beyond salsa. His is truly continental and bi-coastal sound, and this cd is truly exemplary of his many influences: rock, pop, soul, etal. I am partial to the soul grooves he remakes, which would strain the falsettos of most singers today. His voice pours into your ears as a perfect glass of wine. Buy at least two copies of this compilation. It is perfect bridge for younger people who clueless about how soul and latin music blended seemlessly 40 years ago.

Just bought this CD on the strength of a song I heard on local radio..."Make It With You"...that I thought was fantastic. This album does not disappoint. Ralfi Pagan has a unique melting-pot style that reflects different types of music, all the while being sincere and heartfelt. A great CD that is mellow, cool, and will beg you to listen a thousand times...well worth the price and if you have friends that hear this guy, they will undoubtedly ask..."WHO IS THIS?!?"...turn them on to him.

I was surprised and delighted to find this bit of nostaglia from years passed by; In the 70's I often listened to Richard Layos a DJ on a Los Angeles Jazz station, I think on Sunday evenings they would always play Latin Jazz which included many of Ralfi Pagan's hits. I ordered 2 CD's one for myself and sent one to my brother who also loved his music. His tender love songs are timeless. Even if your not familiar with his music, if you're looking for something romantic and intimate with a latin flare, this is IT!

Having a CD of music from this unique artist is a definite joy. His life was cut short and his music has always lived on in Los Angeles. His music helps bridge the ethnic, racial, and cultural gap here in L.A. due to the fact that Latinos, blacks, whites, etc all enjoy his music. Thanks Amazon for this rare treat!

Pagan's The Legend is just that: a legend. The tantalizing rhythms and soothing melodies make this one of Pagan's best -- if not the best. "No Soy De Ti" is a favorite as is "Make It With You" (lyrics in English and some Spanish). An exceptional buy that is worth having in one's collection, the time to do so is now. You'll not be sorry.

I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO RALFI PAGAN FOR 20 YEARS NOW AND I DONT GET TIRED OF IT. PICK THIS ALBUM UP AND ADD IT TO YOUR COLLECTION. ITS A MUST HAVE.
