They have ruined Spyro,

I was looking forward to this title as were my children as we have played all the previous Spyros and even kept some still to replay. I have to say we were severly disappointed. They took out all the best parts to spyro. First off it is not really a platformer type game anymore and the puzzles are almost non existant and what few there are you are given instructions on how to make it work. Then there are the waves and waves of endless enemies. almost non stop. Gone as well are the distinctive races for each world. Spyro is no longer a fun family game. What you Now have is a liner fighting game. They even added in wu fighting moves and slowmo when doing certain combos. All in all the charm of the orginal is missing. I highly doubt our family will be buying anymore spyro titles. if you want a good kids game go for spyro enter the dragonfly or A heros tale both were fun.

Great, but be cautious if you're a die-hard original Spyro fan,

Alright, I bought this game on Xbox live because I recently got into Spyro thanks to Dawn of the Dragon. With this game YOU HAVE TO KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT IN THE(ORIGINAL SPYRO THE DRAGON) series IT IS THE START OF THE LEGEND SERIES. This game introduces The Legend series' all-action, straight-forward, next to no puzzles game-play. I would have to say that this game is kid-friendly, it is very forgiving. If you get Knocked Out or fall off a cliff, You resume the game from about 2 feet from where you expired with full health. The voice-acting is great, I mean Frodo (Elijah Wood) as Spyro is an awesome choice. The only thing that falls kind of flat is the length of the game, I beat it in 5 hours, but it is entirely replayable. All in all a decent game, but if your expecting good-old platforming Spyro and good-old quiet Sparx you might want to give the Ratchet and Clank series (made by Insomniac the developers of the first 3 Spyro games) a whirl. I reccommend this game to fans of action games and old Spyro veterans alike.

I have played all the other spyro games and enjoyed them greatly. this one is terrible!! Not even worth renting! They have turned it into a fighting game and not even a good one.

I've loved playing spyro since i started playing the original play station game. This is defiantly an upgrade from that one. I love the story and how you can upgrade and use different elements (fire, lightning, ice, and water). The graphics are defiantly a bonus. Overall i give this game 5 stars and would recommend it to any spyro fan, weather your just learning to play or you have since the first release.

The first Spyro was so much fun looking for eggs and secret stuff, but this Spyro is nothing but fighting. If you really liked the first Spyro then don't buy this one, it is a waste of good money.

If you are buying for a kid under 10 this is a good game, otherwise don't waste your money. When something is part of a series it should be like the others. This game should not have been called spyro. The most complicated part of this game is the moves you are reqired to learn, but don't actually need for the most part. Not much else to say...not much to the game.
Had I known I was buying a game for children, it would have gotten a better review.

Impressed with easy story telling and kid friendly Hero's tail, we purchased
this and were disappointed to a certain extent. I think they overdid this one. Too much talking, bit too difficult moves for kids less than 10 yrs.Overall it is not bad but not as good as the Hero's Tail. |
