5.0 out of 5 stars a good piece of research, December 23, 2004
This review is from: Legend: The Genesis of Civilisation
I bought this book in 1999 after watching BBC documentary "A Test of Time' featuring David Rohl's theory on the link between biblical Joseph and the history of Egypt. I was impressed with David Rohl's thoroughness in his research and conclusions. Although not a Christian, Jew or Muslim, I always believe that there is some truth in the Old Testament from a historical perspective. The events might have actually happened but the interpretation might be shrouded with religious overtures.

Rohl's book on the genesis of civilisation takes us a step further than his earlier research. He takes us beyond Joseph into the earlier history recounted in the book of Genesis. Rohl paid much attention to the names and linked to to already known historical figures in ancient Middle East.

You will be amazed with what Rohl had done. The book is also well written. If you read Andrew Colin's book, you will find that both of them talked about almost the same thing with regard to a lost civilisation that once flourished in the Zagros Mountains.
