Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.
Nice movie, disappointing end. The DVD itself has the quality you can expect from the format. I would recommend you buy the Blu-Ray instead for much better picture quality.Published 3 days ago by Whatever

This is just a great movie. I don't get tired of watching it. This alternate ending version should have been the one that made it to the movie theaters. Read morePublished 7 days ago by Jose Cotto

|Playstation 3 Region Coding question!!!||
PlayStation 3 games are region free, but Blu-Ray movies are region encoded.The US is Region A encoded, and the UK is Region B encoded. I'm not sure if there's a way to bypass region coding, but Google may be able to tell ya!

|Why the delay?||
It is delayed mainly because Warner doesn't want HD-Dvd to take away sales from DVD and Blu-Ray. It is the same month delay with all of Warners remaining HD-Dvd releases unfortunately.
