Book Description

Award-Winning Author introduces the next installment of her paranormal romance series

• A 2008 Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year Award Winner!
• Night Owl Romance Reader Choice Award for Best Paranormal 2008

In this fourth in Spear's series, Private Eye Cameron MacPherson and Faith O'Mallery are both on quests that lead them into the world of magical wolves...

Cameron arrives in the Canadian Arctic to search for his partners in his P.I. business who are late returning from a hunting trip. Faith is there to discover what her father had seen in the same area years earlier that had made him lose touch with reality—man-wolves, he called them.

The two tumble into an icy world of enemies bent on destroying the lupus garou kind. As they turn into lupus garou themselves, and bond with the pack that only they can rescue from destruction, Cameron and Faith find their soul mates in each other.

"The vulpine couple's chemistry crackles off the page, but the real strength of the book lies in Spear's depiction of pack power dynamics, as well as in the details of human-wolf interaction."—Publishers Weekly

"A solidly crafted werewolf story, this tale centers on pack problems in a refreshingly straightforward way." — Romantic Times, 4-star review

"Bella and Devlyn's devotion to each other is endearing. Their love scenes sizzle the pages...definitely hot! I look forward to reading more about this author's werewolf tales." — Paranormal Romance Reviews

"A lively read that keeps readers on their feet, and an excellent addition to the serious wolf-lover's library. When it comes to authenticity, this novel truly embodies the Heart of the Wolf." — Book Fetish

"Ms. Spear is a gifted author who brings a unique perspective to the paranormal genre." — Fresh Fiction Reviews

"Chilling suspense and sizzling romance meet in this page-turner. The dark, sexy alpha hero will capture you—body, mind and soul." — Nicole North, author of Devil in a Kilt

4.0 out of 5 stars Legend of the White Wolf January 29, 2010
    Format:Mass Market Paperback
Cameron and Faith separately set out for the wilderness of Maine, both for different reasons. Fate brings them together. But the danger of the wild outdoors and their enemies could tear them apart.

Since I haven't read the books previous to this one, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book. But both the story and the characters pulled me in very early on. For me the brightest point is the character, Cameron MacPherson. I liked the sexy hero right away. Very charming and commanding, and plus he's a lover of urban fantasy. Really what's not to like?

Legend of the White Wolf is a fast paced story with both elements of paranormal and mystery. Passions and danger run high, which makes for an exciting read. One not to be missed. This is the 4th book in Ms. Spear's Werewolf series, but can be read as a stand alone.

    4.0 out of 5 stars A Review of Books 1-4! {NO Spoilers} March 27, 2013
    By Larissa
    Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
I first found this series when I was on a reading rampage last year. I just went online and looked for anything in the Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance Realm. I found so many cool Authors and Series that way and this one was definitely one of those.

If you've read a few of my reviews you'll know that I have a thing for shifters and the ones Terry has created are definitely in the running to being some of the hottest out there!

Each book in the series follows the journey of different Wolf Shifters to finding their HEA (Happily Ever After). They live in secrecy in a world just like our on and are spread out around the world, divided in packs.

A lot of action, animal magnetism and smex make up for a great read! I found that the first book was a little sketchy, like the author was still trying to find her voice. However, with each book it got better and better. With Legend of The White Wolf I can say that Terry Spear has found her voice and The Heart of The Wolf Series is smut at its best.

My Least Favorite Book in The Series So Far: Heart of The Wolf (Book #1) - I really enjoyed Bella and Dvlyn's story, but I said, it was a bit of a sketchy start.

My Favorite Book in The Series So Far: Legend of The White Wolf (Book #4) - I Loved that the main couple started of as humans, it was an interesting twist and very entertaining to read. I loved it!

This Series has become an automatic pre-order for me, the last couple of books I pre-ordered months in advance and I have already pre-ordered the next one too, I can't wait!

4.0 out of 5 stars An Appealing Twist on a Classic Myth March 7, 2013
    Format:Mass Market Paperback
Legend of the White Wolf is the fourth in Terry Spears series. Something is up in the tiny snow encased town. Faith is chasing her recently departed boyfriend who heads into the woods. Cameron's work associates disappeared in the same forest leaving cryptic, barely audible phone messages. The townsfolk elevate uncooperative to an art form when Faith starts asking questions.

Faith O'Malley is hot on the trail of her boyfriend. Make that ex-boyfriend. If leaving without a word wasn't bad enough. He took the flash drive with all her father's research on it. Her father was convinced what was on the drive would make his career. It looked like Hilson thought so too, only he wanted it for his career. How could she have been so blind? Faith stomps into her hotel mad at her ex, herself, and the need for the trip in the first place. It doesn't help that the chatty desk clerk gave her the wrong key.

Cameron MacPherson is worried about his business partners. Said they were going hunting with a tour that uses wolves to scare out the prey. Then out of nowhere, he gets a call stating both his partners, Owen and David quit, and aren't even coming back. How weird is that? Too weird for an ex-cop and military man, which is why he flew in to investigate.

Cameron and Faith meet early on and sparks ignite. The problems start to pile up along with the bodies. As a forensic investigator, Faith discovers silver in the corpses. It is an odd way to kill a person, but not a werewolf. The mystery deepens as someone continues to thwart Faith's search.

The snow, isolation, even the cold takes on a dangerous edge. This isn't fluffy snowball type of snow. The story is populated by the type of winter storms that freeze people in their tracks, mere feet from their home.

5.0 out of 5 stars superb werewolf romantic suspense thriller January 28, 2010
    Format:Mass Market Paperback
While their partners Cameron MacPherson and Vin Summerfield remain in Seattle as the former hunts only criminals and the latter hates flying, David Davis and Owen Nottingham are in Maine hunting black bear. Their guide Kintail Silverman, co-owner with Lila Grayson of Back Country Tours, takes them deep into the wilderness when thirtyish David suddenly suffers a heart attack. Owen knows David and pleads with Kintail to save his friend; he will pay any cost. Kintail agrees and suddenly one of his purebred white wolves leaps at the two private investigators.

Faith O'Mallery is town searching for her former boyfriend Hilson Snowden who stole her father's research paper. Her father tells her not to read the paper once she recovers it. At a hotel, she enters an occupied room as the desk clerk gave her the wrong key. He says his name is Cameron and he is a private investigator from Seattle seeking his missing two partners. They team up in search of his buddies and her dad's paper, but neither is prepared to what they find as she learns her dad is not insane with his sociology study and he that his friends live. Soon they will understand the howl of the wolf for its soulmate as their new loupe garous pals are in danger of extinction from Dark Angels.

The fourth werewolf romantic suspense thriller (see To Tempt a Wolf, Heart of the Wolf and Destiny of the Wolf) is a super entry as two dedicated individuals combine their mission only to fall in love at first bite. The pristine descriptions of Maine and elsewhere add to the feeling that a werewolf pack runs free in the tundra. Fans will relish this strong paranormal entry as no one does tales of the wolf better than Terry Spear does.

    More About the Author

USA TODAY bestselling, and award-winning author and creator of award-winning teddy bears who have found homes all over the world including Australia, Switzerland, China, and Russia, and a retired officer of the US Army Reserves, I love to plant trees and flowers and if I could, I'd turn all the deserts green. Time travels are my favorite read, although I love to read most anything, and the Bourne series, Romancing the Stone, Sixth Sense, Legend, The Princess Bride, Stardust, Inkheart, LOTR, and tons of other movies are my favorites.

I love to research, to make urban fantasy worlds real, to bring a little of the paranormal into our world. Even in "Winning the Highlander's Heart" the heroine feels she is cursed and she has second sight. But I try to do it in a way that feels real, and not fantasized. :) Currently, I'm working on book 2 of the new jaguar shifter series, but still am working on wolf book number 12 and 13! So more hunky wolves to come! A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing has just released.
