Legend of the White Wolf,
By
This review is from: Legend of the White Wolf (Mass Market Paperback)
Cameron and Faith separately set out for the wilderness of Maine, both for different reasons. Fate brings them together. But the danger of the wild outdoors and their enemies could tear them apart.
Since I haven't read the books previous to this one, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book. But both the story and the characters pulled me in very early on. For me the brightest point is the character, Cameron MacPherson. I liked the sexy hero right away. Very charming and commanding, and plus he's a lover of urban fantasy. Really what's not to like? Legend of the White Wolf is a fast paced story with both elements of paranormal and mystery. Passions and danger run high, which makes for an exciting read. One not to be missed. This is the 4th book in Ms. Spear's Werewolf series, but can be read as a stand alone.

LEGEND OF THE WHITE WOLF by Terry Spear: Once again Terry has outdone herself. Love to read her books and "become" a wolf for a while. Her "good guys" are truely lovable and the "bad dudes" are SO bad...the ones you love to hate! Keep writing, Terry. Who knows! Maybe werewolves really do exist among us.

Bridget's Review,
This review is from: Legend of the White Wolf (Mass Market Paperback)
Cameron's friends went hunting but they should have been back by now. When Cameron decides to search for them, he encounters something unbelievable. Faith's father told stories of "man-wolves" and Faith is determined to find out the truth. Is her father off his rocker or do they really exist? Cameron and Faith meet and the sparks fly. While searching, they find a group of people who want to slaughter the werewolves. The problem is, Cameron and Faith are part of the werewolf species. Will the wolves be able escape the hunters or will werewolves be added to the endangered species list? Terry is a queen of romance. She's great at building up a story and knows how to deliver. I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm adding Terry to my favorite authors list.

Book 4 of Terry Spear's werewolf series. Book 3 To Tempt the Wolf. Followed by Seduced by the Wolf.Plot: After unexpectedly meeting in his hotel room, Cameron and Faith join forces as they hunt for answers in snowy Maine. Hunted by werewolves and werewolf hunters, the only people they can rely on is each other. How will they get of this mess with their humanity in tact? Comments: - Contemporary paranormal spicy romance with a strong plot and a few explicit sex scenes. - 4350 kindle locations, 100,700 words, 368 pages - m/f - loving, generous. Not frequent. Spicy. - While each book happily stands alone, there are references to the stories and characters of other books. In particular, Leidolf once again appears to play a somewhat mysterious mentoring role. First introduced in Heart of the Wolf, his story is told in Book 5 Seduced by the Wolf. Opinion: Possibly my least favourite of the series (so far), Cameron and Faith are "humans" entering the world of werewolves and trying to come out of it with as much of their humanity in tact as possible. It is certainly an enjoyable, interesting read, but this time I found it perhaps too complex. There were so many sub-plots and characters to keep track of, it was easy to get lost. Good werewolves, Bad werewolves, Bench-sitting Native Americans, Bench-sitting werewolves, Good Humans, Bad Humans... Everyone has an interest in what is going on and everyone has their own way of solving it. It just gets a bit much really. A Good Book, but not one I'd go back to. -CR-

I just finished reading Legend of the White Wolf, I am hoping that Terry writes more on Duncan & Faith and the new pack. Should be interesting to see how so many newbeies do starting up a pack of their own.

I like Terry Spear's wolves. I guess that would be a given, since I love dogs so much. But of course, wolves aren't dogs. They're not tame. They're not pets. Normally they're not human either, but Terry Spear creates an intriguing, and ever-growing world of werewolves who are not the scary, all teeth and no brains creatures of children's nightmares, but long-lived, loving, wild, enticing strangers, hiding away from our world, sometimes in plain view.
Legend of the White Wolf takes private investigator Faith O'Malley to the frozen wilderness of Maine to look for missing documents. There she meets another PI who's searching for his missing partners. But both of them end up engaging the interest of a local wolf-pack a little more closely than they'd like. These wolves are white and beautiful, "owned" by a man who runs adventure tours in the back-country. But the private investigators weren't intending on quite such world-changing adventures. Throw in a mysterious red wolf, unhelpful cops, the sweet old lady in the hot tub, a snowmobile chase, huskies and lights in the sky, and you have another delightful tale with old friends and new, expanding the wondrous world of Terry's wolves. A worthy addition to the series, I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish.

Let me preface my review by stating that i didn't get very far into this book. I just could not get into it. The writing was uninteresting - going on and on, explaining every little detail - the hero and heroine got too chummy too quickly for one thing. There initial meeting and acceptance of each other was too smooth and rather not very believable. Plus I don't think I enjoy too much mystery/perry mason type adventure in my paranormal romance.
