5.0 out of 5 stars It is the best guide ever created for Ocarina of Time.
This guide is so cool! Before I had gotten it, I had read the reviews of other guides and they sucked! Then my friends told me that in order to get the Deku Shield I had to chop Saira's Head off. But I couldn't even find the sword. When I got this guide, I proved my friends wrong! Of course, at one point I lost it and it was right after I became an adult. My friends...

3.0 out of 5 stars reveals to much
this guide does provide helpful hints, but if you want to be suprised as you go along in the game, get Nintendo's offical player's guide. This guide reveals to much, (like who sheik REALLY is) fortunatly, I had allready beatin the game before I read it. Nintendo's guide gives you hints, but it does not reveal any major suprises, plus, it doesn't take you through the...

My friends said that in order to get the Fairy Bow I had to go to the Water Temple, which involved Epona. But I couldn't get her because I had to shoot Ingo in the head with an arrow. When I found the guide again, they were once more proved wrong. Some friends. This guide has very detailed maps, it's very descriptive, and even tells where almost all of the secret grottos are. It also says where all 100 Gold Skulltulas are and where all of the 36 Heart Pieces can be found. Thanks to this guide, I beat the game in two weeks. It gives you a very detailed walkthroughs on all of the dungeons, and tells you how to get every last thing, including Epona and the Cow from Malon. The person who wrote this guide should recieve an award for her great talent in writing player's guides! My thanx to her.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, September 11, 2001

This review is from: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides) (Paperback)
Although I had long since beaten the game using an online strategy guide, I had still found this guide fairly helpful. Even though it doesn't tell you exactly how or where to get all 100 Gold Skulltulas (it was also wrong in the Water Temple) it is still very detailed and tells you almost everything. One thing I didn't like is that it barely mentions, let alone tells how to get the Ice Arrows in the Gerudo Training Grounds. Overall, it was a fun book to read and use. Using it, I have perfected my gaming abilities. I can now beat the game without dying at all or even use a single fairy to replinish life. I can also beat the entire game and find every last piece of everything in 3 days or less. That is without playing it continuously. I have also found every secret in the game including Great Fairy Fountains, Fairy Fountains, all 100 Gold Skulltulas, all 36 Heart Container Pieces, and so much more. As the game progresses, the book gets more detailed, which is good. I would reccomend this book to any regular or hardcore Zelda fan. ...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great coverage of a fantastic game!, April 25, 2001
This review is from: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides) (Paperback)
I'm unsure as to why this guide recieved such bad reviews from others, as it is the definative guide for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The guide covers all the important items and side quests, and gives excellent maps of problem areas. One section that always gave me trouble was the Water Temple, but with this guide I now breeze through it. If you want to get all that you can from this game, this guide will definately be a wise purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just about Everything you Need, December 19, 2000

Taken as a whole this was one of the better game guides I have used. It contains all of the necessary information for you to finish the game as well as hints for almost all of the side quests. The only thing I found fault with was the omission of any tips for the Gerudo Training Ground where you are trying to aquire the ice arrows. This omission did frustrate me I have to admit, but all of the other mini-games and side quests are covered. An adequate book that satisfies most needs.

This strategy guide is the best around. It tells about everything from fishing to heart pieces. from gold skultullas to Epona. This guide also walks you through every level and boss in great detail.

5.0 out of 5 stars It`s awesome, December 30, 1998

This review is from: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides) (Paperback)
This player`s guide is so awesome...It shows where Gold Skulltulas hide and secret grottos! It has maps of several places. Although, it`s written like these events already happened, it tells what Link did and if he was successful with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a guide..., August 19, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides) (Paperback)
It is a pretty decent guide to the game, but it is not perfect. It does not have detailed maps for each corresponding area. It does have details involving the masks and the Big Poe quests that you won't find in Nintendo Power's Official Guide. No decent coverage of the Gerudo Training Ground to use either. The Skulltula and Heart Piece sections can be hard to follow at times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helped me beat the game, March 4, 1999

This review is from: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides) (Paperback)
I was trying to chop down the Deku tree until I got it. In just three weekends I beat it. It is by far my favorite guide I have. It has a walk through of every level, where every gold skulltula and heart piece is.
