In 1985 a show debuted about a former special-ops agent that used his brains rather than brute force to to bring down drug lords, corrupt dictators and other bad guys. One of the most memorable episodes of MacGyver for me, set Mac in the Siberian wilderness with Russian tanks in hot pursuit. He took out lead tank by pouring a canteen of water in a crack on a carefully selected boulder imbedded in the side of a cliff wall. The water froze, expanded and caused a land slide that took out the lead tank, trapping the convoy in a narrow valley. I know, it's outrageous, but this is how I learned that water expands when it freezes.

MacGyver was one of my childhood heroes. Legend of the Ztarr is great way to introduce children to science and critical thinking. It's fun, exciting with great animation! That's why I'm getting this for my nieces. I like that this story is being told in print rather than another cartoon, getting them to read more is another goal of mine. A young girl who can kick butt yet understands that knowledge is a more useful to than the sword the carries. Adora Ztarr has the power to be that same type of hero for them as Mac was for me!
