except for two tracks..the rest of the 12 songs on this album is flawless. in the song "good for nothing" Az finally brings us into his childhood and in the song "i refuse to die" he really shows his verbal talents. this album is better then undeniable, every album shows improvement. i bought two just to support A, keep doing you fam!

9th solo is another Good one,

AZ returns with his 9th solo album (not to mention his "N4L" mixtape and his "S.O.S.A." EP from 2000), and like all his others it's a good one and I'd say deserving of 4 stars. Of the 11 albums of his I own, and his Firm group album, 3 are classics, 3 are near classics, the other 6 are worhty of 4 stars. AZ has been busy of late, this being his 4th album in a 14 month period (counting the release of "Final Call") and he is slated for another one to come out in a few weeks. The man is great on the mic, and one of the best and most consitant since he first emerged back in 1994. This one is shorter, with only 10 songs, 9 are good one is ok. Guests are only on 2 songs. Production is good as well. Cozmo does 8 songs, Maxwell Smart and Luigi Soprano each do 1. Another album to have from a great MC.

Something different,

Descent production on most of the tracks. AZ's verbal skillz are as sharp as ever. More of a laid back vibe to this album then his previous ones. Not as raw or gritty as AWOL or FORMAT, but A once again delivers for his true fans.

This CD will definitely satisfy any real AZ fan or any REAL hip-hop head. He had solid beats that supported his style. Lyrically it's what you would expect from AZ, 4-5 rhymes per bar. His lyrics flowed perfectly and he said a lot on the album. It was full of content every song had meaning, I've really liked it a lot. I gave it 4/5 because I usually only give 5's for classics like blueprint, reasonable doubt, ready to die, illmatic...etc. This was a major improvement from Undeniable and is on the level of The Format and AWOL.

A HUGE LETDOWN,

OK - first off i got to say that i was a huge AZ fan - i said "i was", because after listening to this album i'm not a fan anymore. let's be honest AZ was never known for making classic albums (except his first album of course) but this album is the worst album i've heard all year so far - and i've heard alot of garbage. when it comes to beats there is nothing special - just mediocre mid tempo boring a** beats. Lyrically AZ has never ever sounded this bad - it sounds like he has no energy at. i could give a bunch more reasons why this album is a frisbee - but why bother. when it comes down to it - THIS ALBUM DOES NOT SOUND GOOD AT ALL. PERIOD.

Music galore for them hip-hop heads!,

*Before I get to my review, I have to give mad props to AZ for putting out his 3rd album, 4th if you count last years mixtape, in the past 3 years. How many hip hop artists, let alone regular musicians, do that nowadays and still keep their material fresh. AZ is the man!
Great album by AZ. From the top of the album to the very bottom, AZ brings it. When comparing musicians I usually compare them with the last 2 albums they put out and this is by far better than Undeniable but still 2nd to the Format. Still it's a good buy and good album to listen to. Some of my recommended tracks are: Before It's All Said & Done Livin The Life Refuse 2 Die Good for Nothin Money Makes the World Go Round
