Nice collection of rarer R.A. tracks,
By
This review is from: Legendary Classics, Vol. 1 (Audio CD)
This came out almost 5 years since his last (and only, as far as I know) studio album, his nice 4 star "Die Rigged Man, Die" album. He has been recording songs for over 16 years and this is a collection of some of those rare, lost, and forgotten tracks that he made from 1994-2009, while being screwed over/screwing over various record label deals over the same period of time. Some are more known on the underground circuit and some were just never really put out at all. It has 17 songs, 2 near classics, 2 ok songs, the other 13 are good or real good songs. Guests are a little heavy, on 11 of the 17 songs, but it's enough to keep his fans held over til his hopeful early 2010 release of a new album. It's nice as well comes with a DVD of some video's and performances as wella s him talking about the background/storyline behind each of the songs on here. Producers include: Ayatollah, Buckwild, Mike Mosely, Havoc, Dev-1, Stoupe, Purist, Capital the Crimelord, Marc Niles, Loptimist, Dirtman, Big Earth the Midget Face. A nice album to have from one of the most underrated, yet highly skilled emcess out.#1 - 9 (f/ J-Live) #2 - 7.5 #3 - 8.5 (f/ Hell Razah, Tragedy Khadafi, Timbo King) #4 - 9 (f/ Dynasty the Emp -- nice beat) #5 - 9 (f/ Jedi Mind Tricks -- deeper, true story behind R.A.'s 2 min. verse) #6 - 8.5 (f/ Havoc) #7 - 8 (f/ Big Earth the Midget Face) #8 - 9.5 (tight beat) #9 - 9 (f/ Notorios B.I.G.) #10 - 8.5 (f/ Kool G Rap & Big John) #11 - 9 #12 - 8 (f/ Hell Razah, JoJo Pellegrino, Remedy, & Blaq Poet) #13 - 7.5 (f/ Akinyele) #14 - 8.5 #15 - 9.5 (f/ Sadat X -- tight beat) #16 - 8.5 #17 - 8.5 R. I'm an undergound Hip Hop fan and I just got into this dude. This album is sick if you like flows and delivery this dude is a monster. The features are ridiculous J. Live, Biggie, Kool G Rap, Jedi Mind Tricks. Hip Hop fans buy this album.
