I found this set for $20 at Target and like all all 5 films. The video quality is good and each movie has its own slim case. The other review has more info on the remastered versions, but this isn't a bad deal for 20.

Great set of gangster film,from American Gangster,Public Enemies,Casino,Scarface and Carito Way.The of these is Carito Way is the one I like best on the set,worst is Public Enemies and best with the blood is, Sacface.All in all not a bad set to own.Price is right on this set as well.

Ok, I actually don't have this set, my friend just got it. What you get is Carlitos Way with Al Pacino. Casino-Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci,Sharon Stone. American Gangster-Denzel Washington,Russell Crowe. Scarface-Al Pacino, Michelle Pheiffer. Public Enemies-Johnny Depp. They are all on seperate discs(which is good) I hate flipside discs. They are all Presented in their original widescreen formats. The negatives about this collection- None of these movies are digitally remastered for quality picture. There are very few special features (just trailers and featurettes, and the sound on them is just the basic 5.1 digital surround sound, which if you have a surround sound system, you know it can get better. Personally I own the 3 disc collectors edition of American Gangster, which includes a digital copy, Unrated and Rated versions of the film. On this five disc set it is the Rated version.It comes with loads of special features and a collectible book. Carlitos Way Special Edition(which I own) is digitally remastered and has DTS 5.1 surround sound,which if you have a surround sound sytem, like I do, this is awesome sound!!!It also has tons of extras! Scarface the Platinum Edition(mine)Is completely Digitally Remastered picture and sound. It also has DTS surround sound and the picture quality is outstanding!It has tons of bonus material and is a two disc set! Casino(mine)is digitally remastered picture and is loaded with special features. Public Enemies disc collectors edition(mine) has English Ds 5.1 surround and a great picture, plus loads of bonus features and a digital copy. Like I have said,this set will suffice if you dont already own one of these movies, but I feel the odds of that are extremely slim(except for my friend who bought it). I have viewed some of his movies from this set and the picture is grainy. These are just quick transfers of these movies with no particular effort on quality. You are better off to buy them individually if you have a high def tv with a dvd upconverter. But of course, if you even own one of these movies this set is not for you. Also if you love extra features and cast interviews and so forth, then this set is definately not for you. If you are one of the few ppl out there who doesnt own any of these movies at all, then you may be interesed in this set, since it is cheaper than buying all five of them at once.UPDATE...AMAZON HAS GANGSTERS, ULTIMATE COLLECTORS EDITION! IT HAS TWO DISC COLLECTORS EDITIONS OF AMERICAN GANGSTER, SCARFACE,CARLITOS WAY,AND CASINO.IT IS A MUCH BETTER SET THAN THIS, AND IS ONLY $20. YOU CAN THEN GO AND BUY THE TWO DISC COLLECTORS EDITION OF PUBLIC ENEMIES IF YOU WANT IT~!

ok rather boring gangster movies. Just not great movies and I wouldn't buy them again. I usually like this kind of movie but not these.
