VIDTAPE's LEGENDARY WOMEN ON FILM consists of 10 movies on five individually packaged double-sided DVDs. There's several fine actresses here in some of their lesser-known works.

NOTABLES:

CALLIE & SON-- A teenage mom has her newborn taken away and sold on the black market. She goes in search of her boy. TV movie has a solid cast.

GINGER IN THE MORNING-- Recently divorced middle-aged man (Markham) picks up a young hitchhiker (Spacek) and the two become involved.

KILL CRUISE-- Well-done story of the captain of a small boat who's hired by two young women to sail across the Atlantic. Excellent and credible plot twists.

LOVERS AND LIARS-- American actress vacationing in Rome gets mixed up with a married Italian man. Hawn and Giannini see Italy by auto in this somewhat disjointed comedy.

MESMERIZED-- Mail-order bride faces trial for the murder of her sadistic husband.

TWO WOMEN-- Sophia Loren in an atypical non-glamor role. She's a mom with a young teen; they flee to a small village from Rome to avoid WWII, but the war follows them anyway.
