A MUST HAVE DVD NOT JUST FOR JAZZ DRUMMERS!,

I am not a big jazz fan but this is one of the best dvds I ever saw about drumming. 140 + minutes analysing jazz drumming with photos and short vintage clips of the great stars from 1920 up to 1970. Narration is by none other than Louie Bellson with comments by Jack DeJohnette and Roy Haynes. Louie and the others comment on the style of each drummer, their strengths and why they were important to them, plus what was like meeting these drummers. Tens of drummers are shown including Krupa, Rich, Roach, Big Sid, Joe Morello and others. The drummer who impressed me most was Sonny Payne - what a showman (if you like Keith Moon, Sonny is his predecessor!) Don't miss this dvd buy it today. You won't regret it!
