This beautiful, melodic music just carries me away to a wonderful place inside of myself and back in time. My favorites are "My Avalon," "I Surrender All," and "Circle of Stone." I loved the book "The Mists of Avalon" and this CD has the same beautiful magic as the book. The lyrics in the song "My Avalon" I especially relate to. Laura Powers takes you beyond Celtic music to a fusion of ancient, modern, and folk music that I haven't heard anywhere else. Her songs evoke the past but with modern emotions. They are very powerful, soothing, and lovely.

This CD is one of the best in New Age/Celtic CD's out there. Laura has a way to capture the moment, allow you to escape and dream, it has an upbeat flare as well as songs that touch the spirit and heart. It tends to grow on you. She is in my top list of favorite female celtic vocalists! This CD inspires and is mood moving and enchanting!

Legends of the Goddess is enchanting and magical. Laura Powers is poetic and has the voice of an angel. Very unique music. One of the absolute best albums to come along in along time. Take a journey to a time of magic and enchantment, glory and beauty. I strongly recommend this cd. All Laura's work is impressive, an artist in many fields, song writing/singer, painting, check out her web site. Laura Powers is 5 stars in my book, I know you'll like this cd as much as I did.

After watching the recent miniseries "The Mists of Avalon", I visited the CD "Legends of the Goddess" by Laura Powers. It was a great companion for the video experience, as common themes run through both pieces. Though the CD features instruments from classic Celtic music, it's brought up to date with wonderfully lush production & vocals. P.S. Nice to hear strong songwriting in this genre.

I am sorry I waited so long to buy music by Laura Powers. This was my first CD and WOW! I can close my eyes and I am transformed to another place. The song "Circle of stone" almost takes my breath away. After listening to this CD I ordered every CD she has available.

Ever since I heard 'Circle of Stone,' I knew I had to get the CD. The vocals are beautiful but the music can sound a bit like pop music at times. The lyrics themselves are wonderful, but 'Morrighan's Quest' paints a vision of a more fluffy goddess than the dark warrior she is. Other than that nitpick, the album is wonderful.

Laura Powers has done a WONDERFUL job. She takes you on an exhilirating journey. From serenity, to energizing, and all points in between. I simply love listening to her music. My favorites are Goddess Of The Hunter Moon, Sisters Of The Wind, and Tir Na Nog. I simply adore almost every single song on the track. Her voice is beautiful all alone, combined with WONDERFUL instruments makes for an amazing CD. I thank her for what she has given to the world.

The gentleness of the voices, the upbeat drums, the haunting lovlieness of the music... this is a beautiful CD, perfect for the long drive to work or home again, singable and relaxing. This is one of those CDs that puts you back in touch with yourself again.

a great addition to the celtic genre; the musical appeal of an enya, with visual lyrics that haunt, tease and make one wonder. Ms. Powers' voice pulls it all together - unique and melodic.
