Book Description

Legends April 1, 2004
Legends, Volume 5 profiles 18 outstanding Quarter Horse stallions and mares who have had a significant impact on the breed. This volume features 16 stallions and 2 mares, and starts with Little Joe, who predated the formation of the American Quarter Horse Association, but whose influence on the breed continued for years after his death.

This volume is the largest in the Legends series with 248 pages and about 300 photographs, some of which have rarely been seen. 3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, but not worth the price, December 12, 2006
This review is from: Legends, Volume 5: Outstanding Quarter Horse Stallions and Mares (Paperback)
For a book of this price, I was expecting the photos of the horses to be in color. There are plenty of photos, but the only color is on the front & back cover. It's ok, but for this price, Western Horseman could do better.

The horses profiled in this book are:
Bartender
Bill Cody
Chicado V
Chubby
Custus Rastus (TB)
Hank H
Leo San
Little Joe
Jackie Bee
Jaguar
Joe Cody
Joe Moore
Monita
Mr Bar None
Pat Star Jr
Pretty Buck
Skipa Star
Topsail Cody
