As a wrestling fan for 15+ years, this game has some MAJOR issues which make it exceptionally annoying. In particular:
- There is no button to change your wrestlers focus to someone else. It is inexcuseable that they forgot this. Your wrestler automatically directs his attention to the last person who attacked him. So.. say you're in a tag bout, you get too close to your opponents tag-team partner and he hits you. Next thing you know, your back is turned to the legal man in the ring, and you pretty much have to let him grab/hit you from behind in order to redirect your focus and continue your offense. Even better- it's a triple threat match, or 3-team tag match, and you cant turn around to break the pin/submission because your man is still looking at an opponents stationary tag-team partner, standing on the ring apron, who you were just brawling with on the floor for a while. I have been playing the game for 3 weeks now- and unless it is a singles bout, I know I am in for more hair pulling as a result of this. Don't even get me started on what happens when your opponent has a "run-in" from a third party during a match. - The gambling system is the most ridiculous concept for a wrestling game I have EVER seen. You win green coins for winning matches, then gamble them for other coloured coins which can be used to buy new arenas, wrestlers, abilities ect.. What a joke- this was supposed to be a WRESTLING game, not a b-grade casino wannabe. I'll tolerate this game, because I have yet to see a better wrestling game for the X-box (which doesnt say much). - Some parts of the game are too unrealistic. Watching Eddie Guerrero powerbomb Andre the Giant is a good example of this. Also- watching a wrestler lift his opponent up on the top turnbuckle for a superplex/other move from the top rope- within 10 seconds of game play also makes me go "hmmm..". Also- I have YET to see the PC opponent follow-up from an irish-whip to the ropes. They throw you, you rebound.. and they walk right in to you. Wash, rinse, repeat. Just once I'd like to see my computer opponent pull off a drop-kick, or even a backdrop. - WHY IS THERE NO COUNT-OUT FOR THIS GAME?!?! There should be an option to turn count-outs on/off. Right now you could sleep on the floor and the ref couldnt care less. - What is the point in knocking down the ref to cheat.. when there is no DQ anyway? You can walk in the ring with a chair or a bat, and the ref doesnt do a thing, so the whole concept of knocking out the ref to cheat seems redundant. If anything, he/she does little but get in the way. I still say the best wrestling game of all time was NWO-WCW revenge for the N-64. Just my 5 cents worth..

Huge Disappointment,

I picked up my copy of Legends 2 for Xbox on the 30th. There are so many things wrong with this game I don't even know where to start.CREATE A LEGEND: GLITCHES: In my oppinion this was rushed out in time for Christmas. If it weren't for the large number of wrestlers (65+) and the match options I would give it one star.

Legends of Wrestling relies heavily on the player being excited to use the old wrestlers and hopes you don't mind poor game play and limited options.
Game play weaknesses: You can't freakin tag in your partner. Andre the Giant should not be doing drop kicks. It's not worth spending the time to unlock all the wrestlers, you're bored before you get to use 'em. Any game that requires you to tap repeatedly on one button for a long time sucks. Limiting the skills a created wrestler can have sucks.

First of all, this game is much better than stated in previous reviews. The graphics are not that bad, the playability is solid, and the selection of wrestlers is amazing. I was a huge wrestling fan in the early to mid 80's...Andre the Giant, George the Animal Steele, Mil Mascaras, Ivan Koloff, One Man Gang, etc.. This game has them all and many more. Yes Andre being choke slammed by Ricky Steamboat is unrealistic, but it is just a game. Younger wrestling fans may not appreciate this game, but for those who grew up watching wrestling in the 80's...this game is for you.

1. I'm a huge wrestling fan. 2. I hate this game. The graphics are bad. The moves are the same for every player. I don't get how to do specials. The campaign mode and the amount of players are the only good parts. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! DON'T EVEN RENT IT! That's all I can say.

a good renter but that's about it,
This review is from: Legends of Wrestling II (Video Game)
overall the game is very average. i'd have a very hard time ever justifying fifty bucks on a Wrestling game. there are a lot of characters to choose from, even when you first turn it on. there's a decent control-a-wrestler which is fun to make a obesely hideous bad-dressed wrestler with a funny name. i would imagine it could be more fun if you had four friends together beating the tar out of each other. but to me, these wrestling/ fighting games get stale and repetitive after about a week. i'd say legends of wrestling II would make a good renter, but would be a poor use of your fifty dollars.

first of all, i got the game on discount for $2 at Toys R'Us and was kind of excited because it had my favorite wrestler of all time, British Bulldog.
but what they don't tell you is that Bulldog and about a dozen or so other wrestlers are locked, which sucks. secondly, the game gets real old real fast. it's not like boxing games, which are all different, here, some wrestlers have one type of attack mode, like one guy will only kick and that's it. the game gets real old with that. also, even on easy mode, it's freaking hard. you'll have a guy and you're whopping him, and then he hits you once, and your stunned and have to press the X button to come back. my whole hand and thumb were hurting after playing. i was getting so mad that i actually traded the game away. i didn't even have the game for 24 hours, that's how much i hated the game and how much it bothered me. the best thing and the only awsome thing about it was the ring intros, i wish Fight Night would take a look at the ring intros here for their boxing game. anyway, for little kids, it's okay. but for older kids of wrestling, the game isn't that good. i've played better wrestling games.

Legends of wrestling 2 is more for the old school wrestling fans. Alot of people won't recognize half of the names on LOW2's roster. There are 65 different wrestlers to unlock and acquire. The game has an excellent career mode with different promoters from diffenent regions of the country, old wrestling fans will appreciate this throwback to days of old. One think i do have is a problem with the difficulty, its weird, in that you don't know how much or less the difficulty will adjust with the setting you put it on, some wrestlers that shouldn't be able to beat you, beat you, and visa versa. But all in all this is a good wrestling game for old and new wrestling fans.
