I give this game a NEGATIVE 2 STARS. The gameplay is slugish and the characters look TOO cartoonish, like a Mr. T cartoon. WWF RAW is much better and I'm sure WWE RAW 2 will be certainly better also when it comes out. AND to make it even WORSE you come out to some generic music, you don't come out to the wrestlers classic theme music. This game is bootleg. PLEASE BUY WWF RAW and/or WWE RAW 2 when it comes out. I'm begging you. Read my reveiw on WWF RAW and HOPEFULLY see why its much better, people say this is better? All you need to do is get the hang of how to play RAW and You'll love it. I admit there is a lack of matches such as ladder matches,TLC matches,Royal Rumble, but this game does not have it either.

I got this game for the PS2. X-box games tend to have better graphics and sometimes extras features, but never are that far different from what they are on other systems.

Now the concept of this game is fantastic! Any wrestling fan's dream come true to be able to be so many different past superstars, some of which are no longer with us. Unfortunately, Acclaim (makers of the game), despite creating a new grappling system for this game, still fail at making a great grappling system, so you'll find moves to be very difficult to perform a lot of times. Graphics are on the cartoony side, which didn't really bothered me much and are actually quite good.

You have nowhere near the match options other wrestling games of today, like WWF games, have. no cage match, ladder match, or even barbwire matches.

Overall, if your a long time wrestling fan, buy this game. Your appreciation of the old wrestlers featured in it will justify the purchase, but if your not a wrestling fan or are more into the new style of wrestling and don't really know any of the wrestlers in the game, pass on it. You'll more than likely not like it.

This has got to be one of the worst games i have ever played. The action is slow, there are few moves, and is just plain boring.

This is a alright game.The game play is good.They could have made the season mode little more intersting.The only thing that I thought was cool was that you could use youre own music.

Is it just me, or are wrestling games getting tired and old, I mean, it seems like fights drag on for hours, and the fighting system ain't that great either. Of course, there are those that break the bond, like the new GC wrestler coming up with cell-shaded graphics, or the always fun Def Jam Vendetta, if you want a wrestling game, go with the creative ones, not tired boring ones like these.

Wow, there's so much to say. This is probably the worst game I have played in a very long time. The idea of bringing back old, washed up wrestlers is an awesome idea. I rented (thank goodness) Legends of Wrestling because it had the old Hulk Hogan and many of my favorite wrestlers of yesteryear on the cover. However, when I brought it home, I was very disappointed. The graphics are so-so, the collection of wrestlers isn't all that great, there is a lack of good movie footage, load time is terrible, game options are terrible, and so much more. When the game is loading, it shows a series of about 10 different wrestlers still 3d pics, which is _very_ annoying. The worst thing is gameplay. The wrestler is so hard to control, it's unbearable. The wrestling moves are pathetic. Pretty much everything about this game is pathetic. Don't buy this game unless you want to waste your money.

Here's a game that should take us twenty-something fans back to our youths--King Kong Bundy, Greg "the Hammer" Valentine, The Rock and Roll Express, Ricky Steamboat... Ahh, those were the days.

Of course, a great deal of "Legends" are missing in this title as well, (and there are also some downright weird additions; is RVD old enough to be a legend, and was Koko B. Ware ever a legend?) but, oh well. You can't expect them to possibly put every single one of your erstwhile favorites in this thing, now can you?

Somehow, though, this game fails to take me on that proverbial trip down memory lane that I'd been hoping for. The music is all wrong, and that oldtime feel is just missing.

Gamewise, though, is where is really counts, and, on that, this title is hit and miss.

The Create-a-Wrestler feature in this one is quite good. Here's a novel concept: you can use music from the Xbox soundtracks that you've created for your entrances, (are you listening, THQ and Anchor?) but you can't really customize your guys's face, nor can you really play with the hues. That's odd, considering that you could do so with Aklaim's old wrestling games.

The menu could have used a bit more planning. When you set the options to your tastes and save them, it makes you load those options every time you start the game. I constantly forget this, and then start matches with the wrong setting. Also, when you load your created character for career mode, it makes you load it twice. What's that all about?

The list of features are adequate, but not great. Missing are hardcore matches, cage matches, battle royals, and lumberjack matches. But at least this thing has a career mode.

Speaking of career mode, this game has an interesting way of doing it. You go region by region, taking on opponents. Once you've won the belt in a particular region, you go to another, conquering each one until you finally are the unified champion. And, instead of having a prescribed amount of matches to win before taking on the champion, you build up your popularity to 100%. The better you do in each match, the more popularity you gain.

There are no announcers in this game. Why not?

Graphics wise, this game in average at best. It doesn't take full advantage of the Xbox.

Gameplay here is good...not great. It's a bit slow, and you can't use the digital pad, you MUST use the analog stick to move your wrestler. I hate that, especially since the analog stick sucks for button combos. Health meters are a tad longer than they should be. After you get your opponent out of the green, their health meter turns red. According to the manual, your opponent is pinnable once you have him to that point, but, in reality, pinning is impossible unless you have the guy almost dead. More often than not, I end up winning by TKO.

Also, we need to talk about finishers. If you have an opponent's health in the red, and you do your finisher on him, that should be it. He shouldn't be able to kick out of it. But, in this game, he does it routinely. Once, I did my finisher on an opponent whose health was red, the guy kicked out of it, then he got up, did one move on me, and pinned me when my health was still in the green! That's just ridiculous. I probably didn't button mash well enough, but still...Also, you have to have your opponent "in the proper situation" in order to do your finisher, but the manual provides no indication of just what that situation is for any of the wrestlers. How annoying.

Still, the controls here aren't nearly as sluggish and they are in Raw. One interesting feature is the reversals. By pushing buttons at the right moments, you can reverse most of your opponents moves. This can lead to some pretty hottly-contested bouts, as the windows get smaller and smaller for each reversal button until somebody finally gets slammed. I like this feature, even though the CPU opponents sometimes reverse too many of your moves.

Actually, the four stars that I gave this game may be a bit generous, but I'm sticking with it. If you are an Xbox owner and you like wrestling games, obviously the abysmal "Raw" hasn't fulfilled any of your needs. This one should tide you over until the (hopefully far improved,) WWE Raw 2 comes out. It's at least worth renting.

I find the Legends of Wrestling game to be wonderful. You can play through a career game with all the wrestlers. Maybe they should have such a game called WWF/WWE legends for X-Box 360; Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. This would be simular to the first and second Legends of Wrestling games but with classic and modern legends man and woman.

Please buy WWF RAW because it is a 4 or 5 star game. I'll say 4.3 Stars for WWF RAW because a lack of match variety, but other than that RAW IS GREAT. LEGENDS OF WRESTLING IS [bad] you have to buy moves and wrestlers through earning "points" through making so far through different "levels" of the game. Not only that THE WRESTLERS DO NOT come out to their classic ENTRANCE MUSIC, they come out to some GENERIC MENU MUSIC... ,WWF RAW is A whole lot better...TRUST ME!

Only dissapointment is: No Ric Flair! Besides that you can grapple with 42 of the greatest wrestlers of all time including: Hulk Hogan, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Rob Van Dam, The Road Warriors, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Terry Funk, Ted DiBiase, George "The Animal" Steele and many more! Six and eight man elimination bouts for thrilling muti-player mayhem! XBOX's is the only version to include dynamic hair and cloth movement and Dolby Digital 5.1 support for superior wrestling realism.
