5.0 out of 5 stars A delight for Babylon 5 fans, September 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Legions of Fire (Babylon 5: Centauri Prime Trilogy) (Babylon, 5) (Hardcover)
Legions of Fire takes the reader on a long journey through the epic struggle of Londo Mollari against the invaders of Centauri Prime, the Drakh. From the moment the keeper is placed on him, everything the Babylon 5 fans always wanted to see in the show, but never could, is portrayed in this book. Not wanting to give the plot away, the story line takes years to unfold and you "meet" every character you know and love from Vir (that grows - as a person - into a whole different level in this book), Sheridan, Delenn, G'Kar, Garibaldi...
The book is based on an outline from Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski and the author (Peter David) does a great job of portraying the characters, you'll recognize them instantly from the way the speak to the way they act long before a name is mentioned and you get so caught up on it that it's as if you were watching the show itself. The book is beautifully organized, over 730 pages long, delivering thrills and unexpected twists all the way. If you're like me, a fan of the show who was always left wondering about just what exactly happened with Centauri Prime between the rise to power of Londo and Vir becoming emperor, get this book, you will not be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Would be a 5 star, but...., August 14, 2011

This review is from: Legions of Fire (Babylon 5: Centauri Prime Trilogy) (Babylon, 5) (Hardcover)
The story is amazing. You learn about the Drakh Entirety and their motives. You learn the back story to the lady from the movie "In the Beginning". You learn how Vir rose to the throne, and the Lady Morilla's prophecy really has nothing to do with it. You also learn the end of Lou Welch, the only security officer of Babylon 5 that anyone gives a chrap about who wasn't the security chief. The characters I can see saying what was written.

I had the book for a month, and I got it in sturdy condition, but in a single month the book came out of the covers. I am a very careful person with my books and I keep them in near mint if not new condition. But it still came apart. Had it not been for that, this would have been a 5 star.
