They are made in Italy from beautifully clear, exceptionally light mouth-blown crystal and are suited for red, white, and sparkling wines. The red wine glass--with the rounded bowl--stands 10-1/4 inches high. Its bowl is 5-1/2 inches deep. The tulip-shaped glass--intended for white wines--stands 9-3/4 inches high. It measures 4-1/4 inches from the base of the bowl to the beautiful rim. The conical glass, ideal for champagne or prosecco, stands 11 inches tall, measuring 8 inches from lip to bowl base. All 3 glasses in this taster's series conform to strict sommelier standards dictating surface to volume ratio, height and width of the base. The rounded bowl glass measures 10-1/4 inches tall with a 5-1/2-inch wide bowl as is intended for red wines. The flared edge glass is 9-3/4 inches tall and features a 4-1/4-inch wide bowl ideal for white wines. The third glass is for champagne or sparkling wine and is over 11 inches tall with an 8-inch wide bowl. They are all made of mouth blown crystal and are presented in a beautiful wood box. Made by Legnoart, a small family owned business situated on the shores of Lake Orta in the stunning northern part of Italy. The company is owned by Enrico Albertini who has a passion for food and wine and personally oversees all of the designs.
