Product Description

Editorial Review

Professor Snape, a rather shadowy master of the "dark arts," makes Ron Weasley's life at Hogwarts School even more difficult than it already is as a first-year student. Of course, even the most imposing of characters is not quite so terrifying when done up in LEGO. This 163-piece set features everything needed to build Snape's classroom, including LEGO characters of Snape and Ron. Extra details include a cauldron, several potion bottles, and an oversized spider web. A detailed step-by-step instruction book explains exactly how to build the classroom on the box and, once complete, it's compatible with other Harry Potter LEGO sets. And because the set features a large number of pieces, you can build most anything else with it. --John Moe

If your as crazy for Harry Potter as I am you've got to have Snape's Class! With this set you can bring Snape's potions class to life. Ron is ready to make potions with his cauldron and wand. But Watch out for the ghost whose hiding behind the shelf of ingredients or he might make Ron spill his potion. Then Snape might have to give him detention! Includes Ron, Snape(whose face glows in the dark!), a ghost, lots of potion bottles, Ron's pet rat Scabbers, Trevor the Toad and even a few surprises. If you want to tell the story of Harry Potter with your LEGOS, then Snape's Class is a must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahh, Mr. Potter, our new celebrity., August 8, 2002
A Kid's Review
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

This set is about the best Harry potter lego, they've ever created, exept for Hogwarts. The characters from this set are:

* Professor Snape
* Ron Weasley
* Ghost (most likely Peeves)
* Scabbers (very cool)
* Trever

This is the only set you can get Snape in, besides the Hogwarts set. He looks really good, exept his hair looks too much like a girl's. H's face glows in the dark, though I didn't think that it was neccisssary, but a cool feature anyway. I'm glad they had Ron in this st instead of Harry because I have about five Mr. Potters and almost no Rons. Ron looks just like he should. Here are some of the things inside the set:

* Cauldron Room (move cauldron and parchment appears)
* Spider Web (Gives the dungeons an even more creepy effect)
* Bookcase (the book keeps falling off so I took mine off)
* Desk (opens up to find trevor)
* Ingrediants rack (LUV it! opens up for Ghost to pop out!)

So overall, this is a must for all Harry Potter fans, which is why this item is on everyone's Chistmas list!

I personally love this set because it has one of my favorite characters, Snape. The figure looks like it should glow in the dark but it doesn't which is good because I never remember reading about Snape having a glow in the dark head. :) The other included figure is Ron as well as Trevor, Neville's frog. I would have loved it if instead of Ron we actually had a minifig of Neville himself but I suppose that wasn't possible. There is a ghost (perhaps the bloody baron?) hidden in this set as well. This set actually connects to the castle and other castle sets which is why there are extra supporting pieces on the top of this set. The hinged area was a bit difficult to build on a carpeted floor, you have to build on a hard surface. The area where the cauldron is swings shut to make the classroom somewhat more enclosed. There is also a door and a key to get to class. Snape an Trevor are great figures to have and you can never have too many Ron figures! Great replay value and rather durable. Just make sure you don't lose Trevor since he is a very small piece!
