5.0 out of 5 stars It's Protoman... wait, no.
All six of the original Toa are constructed basically the same: a body with a gear that moves one or both arms (Pohatu's body is upside down, so it moves his leg instead), four limbs, and a head with a distinctive mask. They're all pretty solid once built, except for the masks (which are SUPPOSED to come off), and when a piece comes off it goes back on easily (they are...

All six of the original Toa are constructed basically the same: a body with a gear that moves one or both arms (Pohatu's body is upside down, so it moves his leg instead), four limbs, and a head with a distinctive mask. They're all pretty solid once built, except for the masks (which are SUPPOSED to come off), and when a piece comes off it goes back on easily (they are Legos after all).

Anyway, onward to Kopaka. His weapon of choice is a sword, which (according to the Bionicle comic book from a while back) can fire sort of a freeze ray from the tip. He's also the only Toa to have a shield, which is a good sign for the Toa of Ice's intelligence. There's technically nowhere to put these when he's not using them, but if you're clever you can attach the shield to one of the holes in the sword, then use the other hole to attach the sword to the back of his non-moving shoulder using the little gray part that holds his shield on. His gear causes him to attack with his sword by default, but you can always put the gears in backwards or borrow a gear from another Toa and have it move his shield. Kopaka wears the Mask of Vision, which doesn't really affect how you play with the toy but at least it looks cool. Kopaka is decently posable, and you can get more poses by taking off his parts and attaching them differently.

Overall, it has problems, but by being made of Legos it solves pretty much all of them.

I got this from my grandfather because he figured since i already have the other 5. I thought it was going to be hard to put the left arm together because it looked complicated but i was wrong. the durability is ok except when around babies. my sister always takes it apart! If i can't find him, I always remember putting him in the freezer and thats were i find him!!

5.0 out of 5 stars To all who are not true fans of Bioinicle, August 3, 2003

Hi! I come from long island. Im a true bionicle fan. I've been collecting since 2000 or 2001 (cant remember when they came out). Currently out of the 50 or more sets I have a total of 20. Ever since I went to florida and got this it has been my favorite.
To all who dont know it some people say the toa are brothers and related and are different ages. THEY ARENT. those people dont know those ideas were forgotten long ago.
Also the story is that a spirit called mata nui came down from to the iland. Since matanui brought happeness to the island the Matoran and Turaga named it after him. then his "spirit brother" came from the heavans and put matanui in a deep sleep. Using Infected Masks he controlled creatures known as rahi and terrorized the island. because of his dark powers the inhabitants weakend. then the six heros called the toa came to defeat makuta.
kopaka comes with Kanohi Akaku Great mask of X-ray vision. As the toa of Ice he protects the villagers of Ko-koro and makes his home in Mount Ihu.
The toy is really cool and can be combined with Gali and Lewa to kreate Toa Kaita Whariua.
(sorry didnt indent)

5.0 out of 5 stars Toa of Ice and protector of Ko-Koro!, April 11, 2004

The mighty Toa of Ice and guardian of Ko-Koro and Ko-Wahi, Kopaka is cold, calculating, and cooly methodical. He can cause avalanches and blizzards by only a swipe of his sword. His sword can also instantly freeze anything it touches. Kopaka is the lone Toa. Mistrustful of others, Kopaka remains alone in the cold, frozen region of Ko-Koro, surefootedly climbing Mount Ihu and skiing across the icy land for sport. Although he seems unfriendly, he is a generous and kind Toa, an you can trust him with almost anything. He wears the Kanohi Akaku, the Great Kanohi Mask of X-Ray vision.

Kopaka is a very fun toy. I do not own him, but when I went to my friend's house he let me build Onua and Kopaka. We battled each other, and Kopaka was really the most fun. You can pretend he has ice on his feet, and his shield detached and turned into a sled (sort of like a snowboard, actually), so he could slide around without getting sliced to pieces by Onua's massive, sharp claws used for digging and battle. We used elemental blasts, and Kopaka used his sword to fire a beam of ice, freezing Onua.

That was true (well, I didn't really fire an elemental blast, I just pretended to when we battled), but was an example of how powerful and fast Kopaka is. All in all, Kopaka is a Toa to get. But, he is extremely rare, so if you see one online in stock or one in the stores, DO NOT hesitate to buy it! And also, these Toa, Toa Nuva, Rahkshi, and Matoran are easy to put together, so I put Onua and Kopaka together in about 4 or 5 minutes on both. Anyway, buy Kopaka TODAY!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Mighty Toa of Ice, August 28, 2002

In my opinion, this is the best Toa of all six. He waves a long sword and holds up a pretty cool shield that no other Toa has. He is really easy and fun to put together, and it should take no longer than ten minutes to do so. I read somewhere that his sword freezes anything it touches, and he can cause avalanches and stuff. His mask is also the coolest of the Kanohi. All in all, Lego and Bionicle fans of all ages should purchase this guy to add to or start your collection.

This is a good toy. I got it for my birthday, and Tahu, Gali, Onua. This is fun, but why do people call it edjucational? It's a toy! Maybe because you have to build it? That's all.

I think this is one of the best toys lego came up with it lets you build the model and figure out how the gears, axles, and pins work to pull the arm up or down when you turn the gear although the mask comes off easly I realy dont mind that much overall I would give it a 5 out of 5

Kopaka, in my opinion, is the strongest of all the Toa. Most people think that Tahu is the leader, but Kopaka should be. I think that Kopaka is very educational because it teaches little kids how a gear system can move something, like an arm w/ a sword. My best friend's little sister, who's 5, put one together in about 7 minutes. That proves how easy it is to put together. Don't get me wrong, though, this toy will bring months of fun even after it's built. Overall, one of LEGO's best product lines, along with STAR WARS.

This is my favorite Toa. it is a great toy because its educational by letting kids build, and see how a system of gears can work things. plus it is very fun. however, to make it the best fun you would have to get othe sets. Its not the most durable thing in the World, as the limbs fall off easily and it becomes harder and harder for him to hold his sword, but the fun easily makes up for all that.
