5.0 out of 5 stars Kudos to Lego!, July 10, 2002
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: LEGO Bionicle: Kohrak (8565) (Toy)
I am very impressed with the entire Bionicles line of toys. We have all the Toa and are now starting in on the Bohrok. Kohrak is the first Bohrok we've purchased. My son and I enjoy putting them together and playing with them making up storylines as we go. The Bohrok are unique in that you can curl them up into a ball and hang them from the top of the canister so they are sort of like cocooning. There are even air holes in the lid to add to the realism. Lego has done a fantastic job with these toys. We love logging on to lego.com and reading updates about what has happened on the island where the Toa and Bohroks and other creatures live. The graphics for their online episodes (short videos) are really cool, too. You can create a whole world in your imagination and do lots of role playing. We check the map and see where each creature lives and what power each mask gives the wearer. I don't think my son will outgrow these for a while. He's only four! The truth is I love them as much as he does. So if he ever does outgrow them they are mine!

One thing I need to mention that I dislike about how Lego handled this line. They have some speciality items, kanohi (masks) and more, that were available only for a short time at certain locations. For example, McDonalds, Toys R Us and Walgreens had various masks or creatures available. We've missed out on all of those unless we want to pay big bucks at an online auction site.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Swarming Bohrok!, February 17, 2002
A Kid's Review

This review will be the same for every Bohrok. All six of them are alike, but different in their own unique ways. Each one comes with a randomly packed Krana (unlike the Toa which came with a set Kanohi.) The design is cool because you can roll them into a ball and hang them from the top of the pods that they come in. Each one also has a headbutting action. By pushing a lever in back, their heads will snap forward pretty quickly. Also, by hitting the Bohrok in the eyes, you will cause the "Krana pan" to shoot forward, releasing the Krana.

Going back to the Krana, they are little pieces of rubber molded into 8 different forms. You just put the Krana in the pan and lock the top of the head, securing them. Also, for fun, the Krana can be put on the Toa's heads, and they fit perfectly. (But are smaller than Kanohi.)

Kohrak,Bohrok of ice, has an attitude as the snow he wields: cold and hard. Kohrak is a very good toy for everyoneand wears a light blue Krana and is AWESOME. You can E-mail me for any questions about the Bohrok, the gold and silver masks and where to get them, the Toa, and the Rahi

5.0 out of 5 stars Kohrak, May 9, 2002
A Kid's Review

Kohrak is my favorite Bohrok. I teaches kids how to build and teaches them about gears, making it pretty educational. It is also very fun. if you press the lever on its back, its will launch its head forward, wich is fun. also, if you press its eyes, it will launch its light blue krana at its enemies! The buzzsaws it has for hands are very cool.Kohraks krana can fit on the toa, providing even more fun. the instructions are easy to follow, and it does'nt take long to build. kohrak can fold into a ball and hang upside down in its canister for storage. Overall, an awesome toy. Very worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's go Kohrak, let's go!, December 8, 2002

This Kohrak is awesome, escpeically in battle! If you wanted to know why I gave this toy only two stars in educatonal value, it's because this is an awesome toy! but the saw blades on it's hands don't teach little kids much[ages 1-8]. It's a great toy for collectors, but unless you plan on investing some serios money in the Bohraks and other ionicle stuff, dont't bother at all.All of my cousins battle these toys together, [I win at least ninety three percent of the time out of twelve cousins. Let's gfo Kohrak, let's go!You can try to beat me , but' i'd win ya!
