5.0 out of 5 stars This is really cool
It took me a couple of hours to build this, about average for a Lego set this size. It has a lot of neat contraptions - a rocket that fires, a boat that slips out of a ramp, a hole in the back so you can see inside, and a giant squid which glows in the dark. I would recommend this to my friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Food for imagination
This is just a "medium"-sized Lego structure, and it still takes hours to build! Once done, it's fun. My son and I enjoy riffing on the giant squid (with the diver skeleton in its belly) and the various facial expressions on the other, "living" personnel. We have already rebuilt it once. He is careful with his toys, but Lego works are especially subject to the effects...

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Aquatic LEGO for adults, January 16, 2007

This entire Aqua series is amazing. Someone at LEGO saw The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and decided to make a series inspired from that. The set is very imaginative and fun to build. My son is getting better and better at putting them together by himself. I did the entire Aqua series myself though. He has been working on some of the CITY series. All we need now is a few red caps and the Belafonte ship set and we are golden.

I bought this for my grandson because he had a great report card. We both set down and went through the instructions page by page and put it together. There were a couple of parts missing, but I intend to call the company and get the parts. He has had this toy for two weeks and is still playing with it. He wants another set of aqua raiders if his next report card is good. thank you kim

I loved Lego's as a kid and now my kids enjoy the same fun I had at my earlier years. I can put this together with my 7 & 5 year olds and we all enjoy the building time and playing afterwords. My only wish is that Lego would have extended the aqua raiders series beyond the few sets they have.

My 5 year old wanted this set for months, and got it for Christmas. It is really meant for older children, but with a lot of direction he was able to assemble it. It has a lot of cool features and doesn't encourage ultra violent play. The other sets that compliment it make it even more fun.
