The Exo-Toa is very impressive. It takestime to construct it but, once done, it is a lot of fun. I was able to fit Gali, Lewa and Kopaka in the Exo-Toa. For Onua, it was more difficult and for Pohatu it was impossible. One arm of the Exo-Toa has a claw and you can extend it (but, you must hold the arm, otherwise it goes back to its original position). The other arm is a canon that shoots (very nice!). I recommend this toy to everyone, but it is more fun if you already have a Toa.

Overall: Exo-Toa, the second Bionicle summer 2002 set. It's a terror to build (took my brother about 1 1/2 hours), but it is really fun to play with.Action: It's left arm consists of two hooks, which form a pretty cool claw. When you push a certain place, the claw-arm bashes forward. The right arm is a blaster-like mechanism, but when you pull a lever it shoots. (It has a rubber padded end so you don't jab out an eye.) The top of the Exo-Toa flips up to allow a Toa head to fit in, as long as you press the button on the front to flip down the front.

My children have just started to get into the Bionicle toys. Although Bionicles are really just action figures disguised as lego-style building projects, they have (much) more merit. I do have a comment on the education value of Lego's generally speaking. As one person notes, they don't teach you math. But, the kits DO teach children how to follow directions -- at least, my boys have learned that it can waste a significant amount of their time when they do not not look carefully at the guides. This is a valuable skill assuming that they ultimately have to figure out how to follow directions later on in their lives. (Like, say for high-school chemistry where adding ingredients in the proper order may prevent problems...)Anyway, this has been a great addition to my boys burgeoning collection of Lego creations. It makes each of the Bionicles that they have that much larger -- and, consequently, more powerful in their battles with each other.

This toy is great! It fits 3, maybe 4, toa in it. But Mask of Destiny.com has modifications to the suit so Onua, Gali and Pohatu fit in snugly. It can interact with the Toa Nuva as well, except Pohatu Nuva. Next to this, the Rahi look dull and blunt. It looks great too. The silver color scheme goes well with the protodermis theme. It has a claw arm that extends and a cannon that shoots. Besides the Toa Nuva, this is the ULTIMATE LEGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The exo toa is ok, if it were a sinch more posable. It's legs don't bend very well, and they bend even worse when you put a toa inside. Also, the foot pads for putting the toa on barely even work. They have this tiny sphere sticking up that's supposed to keep their feet attached. I would recommend using those "bleey button' piecies that come with the Toa and Toa Nuva instead. But then they fut to tight, and when you take the toa out, the ball joints stick inside of their feet. They can be taken back out with a little bit of effort though. The claw arm always sticks in one position all the time, which limits the different poses it can be displayed in. You can however, remove the rubber bands that keep the arm in the same bent position and let it hang loose, but then the calw arm droops farther down than the launcher arm and causes the whole thing to look insymmetrical. The Bohrok-Va type head can be flipped over on to the back quite easily, thanx to a genius system similar to that of a Bohrok's neck, but it flips back to it's original position with little rovocation, making this a very unstable set! On top of that only 4 of all the toa fit (Gali, Tahu, Lewa, and Kopaka.), and none of the Toa nuva do (mostly because of their armor and longer legs.) As for it's educational values, it's not like it pratices your amth homework with you. From what I've heard, it is quite a challenge to build, so some construction skills are involved. After that, it's just an action figure. But despite all of these disadvandeges, it is a pretty amusing and looks pretty cool sitting up on one's shelf. I give it 3 points for fun, 2 for education, and 3 for durablity (it falls apart easier than most, because of it's non-compact structure).

This is arguably the premier Bionicle set to hit stores this summer and, besides the soon-to-be-realeased Toa Nuva, will be one of the most sought after. According to the instructions it can act on its own or as transport for any of the six Toa figures, none of which come with this set. Some Toa fit better than others. For example, Tahu I think is the best fitting Toa, followed by Lewa and Kopaka, but their shoulder arrangement makes them a little looser in the cockpit. Gali is tough to get it, because the piece on her chest blocks the chest plate on the Exo-Toa from properly securing. Pohatu and Onua are impossible (yes you read correctly, IMPOSSIBLE) to fit into the Exo-Toa WITHOUT modification of the suit or the Toa itself. Overall it is a good product, but it still leaves something to be desired. But for those of you who like to tinker you could find ways to fit those 3 disobedient Toa into the Exo-Toa;)

This is a great toy i bought it when they fist came out and i had a blast. now its true that its not very good when comes to posing but other than that its great. some dude was saying that toa nuvas dont fit because of armor well your suppose to take it off duh because the exo-toa is alredy armour for the toa. as far as durability goes it pretty strong if you know wat ur doing i mean if you drop it too high up of course it will break its not invisnible but even then sometimes a peice may fall off if you smash it with something. overall its a great toy. buy it... NOW jk

This is the best Bionicle ever if you have a toa. If you don't it is a piece of junk.
