This review is from: Lego Clikits Advent Calendar 2004 (Calendar)
Every year, I buy advent calendars to help the kids count down the days until christmas (and stop them from asking every five minutes "is it christmas yet?"). We did the Polly Pocket calendar last year and it was a HUGE hit, but I couldn't do the same one twice; so this year, I bought the Lego clickits advent calendar. I have not seen Lego clickts before, but bought it because it looked more girly then some of the playmobil and other calendar kits, and looked to have fewer tiny pieces.
What I really like about this is that there is absolutely no prep work for parents. You take it out of the box and you are all set. There are 24 perforated windows on the box and each opens to a small wrapped prize. The prizes include small plastic bracelets, picture frames, necklaces, and rings; each with little flowers, hearts, stars that snap on to make jewelry and other decorative creations. It's a cute toy for a 3-5 year old.
It doesn't look like the calendar kit will mount to the wall or door, but it does stand alone nicely on a table. I'd definitely recommend this calendar, and if you're looking for one a little less girly, I'd also recommend the Lego Castle Advent Calendar or the Playmobil Pirates or Dueling Knights Calendars.
