4.0 out of 5 stars pretty nifty set, January 9, 2007
By
ohio mama (Lakewood, OH United States) - See all my reviews
My husband and I got this LEGO set for our 9 year old son, and he absolutely loves it. He is a LEGO nut and had been specifically looking for a LEGO people set so he can interchange the outfits, hairs, etc. to build his own LEGO characters. This set has pretty much every general "character" you can think of...from a pro-skateboarder to a firefighter. This set is also great for kids who enjoy role-play because of the various characters offered in this set. The only thing that caught us a bit off-guard was the size of the box. Based on the price we paid (around $43) we thought the box would be bigger...although there are 200 something LEGO people pieces. I guess we're just used to seeing a bigger LEGO box when we purchase a set for $40. Regardless, we all have enjoyed playing with the LEGO people.

This review is from: Lego Education Community Workers Set (Toy)
I purchased this as a gift because my nephews love the little LEGO men. $45 seemed a bit pricey, however I was able to divide this set up into 25 different gifts. Some of them simple lego people, others are awesome.

Here they are in no particular order:

1. Skate boarder.
2. Policeman with dog and bullhorn.
3. Scuba-girl complete with air tanks and flippers.
4. Policeman with binoculars and dog.
5. Janitor with broom.
6. Chef with frying pan, and what looks to me like a crockenbush.
7. Waiter with pizza.
8. Construction worker with push dolly.
9. Mechanic with an assortment of six different hand tools.
10. Fireman with cool shiny silver hat and phone.
11. This guy looks like a steel worker to me.
12. Pilot
13. laborer with pick axe.
14. Professional, with briefcase and phone.
15. Clean up crew, three men with shovels broom trash can and safety cones.
16. Kid with a flat top and a bike.
17. Boy on bike with hand held camera.
18. Airport traffic director, with two signal paddles.
19. Girl with briefcase and bike.
20. Policeman on a three wheeler.
21. Three Firemen, two fire extinguishers, axe, phone.
22. Boy in blue on three wheeler.
23. Man on there wheeler.
24. Person on three wheeler, white safety cone.
25. Doctor, two paramedics, and a stretcher.

On average these are easily worth $2 a grouping, which makes this set well worth the purchase price.

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST HAVE ADDITION TO LEGO SET, January 9, 2007
TYPICAL LEGO SETS HAVE A FEW PIECES OF PEOPLE THAT CAN BE PUT TOGETHER, MY KIDS ALWAYS ARGUE OVER WHO GETS THEM. WITH THIS SET THEY HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH PEOPLE TO PUT THEM TOGETHER AND BUILD THEIR CITIES AND HAVE ADVENTURES.
