My 8 year old daughter received this for her b-day and she loves it. It took us both 2-2.5 hours (we were going fast) to put together and she enjoyed every minute of it. There are enough little gadgets in this set that allow her to change things up to keep it new and fun. It comes with 2 jumps that she plays a lot with. It's a great idea they made the barn roof swing up and down for easy access to the hay and horse book stored inside. There are enough legos in this set that my daughter could make her own buildings, but given it took us 2.5 hours to put together, she better not!

This was purchased as a birthday gift for our 7 year old granddaughter. She loved it! She is very interested in anything to do with horses! She was very pleased with this and exclaimed that it was something on her "wish list"! Seems you can't go wrong these days buying Lego sets for the 6 and 7 year old kids! Gave to her on 11/30/12 and she had it all put together and proudly displayed when we visited for Christmas on 12/22/12. The bad experience I had did not have to do with the product but rather the order and how it was fulfilled. It was ordered from an Amazon seller; not directly from Amazon. Paid $75 or so for it and shipping. It came in a Walmart box with a Walmart invoice showing a price of $45.00. When I contacted the seller confused about this since I definitely didn't order from Walmart, they explained that Walmart fulfills some of their orders??? I was really not treated very well when I questioned why the invoice says $45 and I paid $75.00. Kittyhawk Wholesale was the seller so beware. They were rude when questioned about this overpricing tactic.

Love the theme!!! This is a very sturdy and well thought out lego model! Lots of playability- very happy that it included 2 horses, 2 girls and a barn cat. The girls have attached riding hats, and there are reins and saddles. A good use of regular lego bricks along with some great specialty accessory pieces. Highly recommend this toy!
A few minor criticisms- I do wish the "friends" mini figures had movable legs like the regular lego minifigures so they could sit. Also, the barn stalls are not attached to the main barn building- we modified this by taking the smooth grey tiles (meant to be stepping stones) and moving them so they connected the 3 baseplates. That was an easy fix!

It's cute but do NOT pay over 50 bucks for this! It's in Target (maybe sold out) for less than 40. I bought at Barnes & Noble for 49 with free ship! Don't fall for those trying to make a quick buck from you.

Was very disappointed that my 7 yr old granddaughter was able to assemble this in no time. I was hoping it would provide her hours and days of playtime activity, especially for the price. I think this is probably the last expensive LEGO toy I buy. So surprised that it's received so many high ratings, considering how easy it was for this age group.

My daughter really loved this. Lego"s are a good tool to teach about building concepts while having fun at the same time.

My granddaughter loved it. Her and her Dad put it together. I really enjoyed watching them. I recommend this product to any one who enjoys putting things together.

My granddaughter asked for 'the Lego set with the barn and horse'. This is what I found. I paid the extra for gift wrapping, thinking what a ripoff. When she got it, she opened the cardboard box and pulled out a plush blue velvet looking bag that was so worth the money to have it wrapped. Then she looked at the toy. She went on for half an hour telling me all the extra pieces this set had that she wasn't expecting! And she kept the beautiful bag it was wrapped in to keep the toy in. This gave her so much joy. She had lost her great grandmother 2 days before this, her 8th birthday and was also missing her grandfather she lost 4 days after her 7th birthday. To make this serious 'old' child who was so very sad be so happy makes me call this toy magic!

I got this set for Christmas, and I opened it quickly. I thought it would be hard to build, because I have never built one before. But it was pretty easy, and I completeted it in at least 20 minutes. I had a few building errors, but my brother fixed them. Whenever I am bored, I just start playing with it, and I start having a lot of fun. I love to make Mia and Katherine ride the horses. But the pieces snap of easily, and I am missing a few because of that. But this is still a great set. I would reccomened this to others.(:

My daughter loves this. It has a lot of fun details and although not as complicated as most boys Legos are, she enjoys it just the same.
