I received this set yesterday from Amazon.com and I am still in the process of building it. It is an extremely large set (the box was more than a foot in length) and it comes with seven characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Gilderoy Lockhart, Ginny Weasley, Tom Riddle, Fawkes the Phoenix, and the Basilisk, a large, deadly snake. The set's instruction booklet is in several sections to help build all of the seperate sections that are put together to actually form the Chamber of Secrets itself. They are Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, with has a trapdoor and it's fairly easy to build; two Chamber walls; a gate-like structure that looks like a face with an open mouth that the Basilisk can crawl through; and three small towers that can be placed on the top of the set. There are several cool props, such as the Gryffindor sword, the Sorting Hat, flames, little black snakes that can be placed in several different areas, two tiny Lego daggers that can be placed in the roof of the Basilisk's mouth and look like its two fangs, and several others. It's a great set but it takes a while to build, and unless you are a devoted Lego builder, the set could become a huge, hopeless mess. Overall this is one of the best Lego sets I've ever received, and it is certainly worth the money. Buy it and love it!

The Chamber of Secrets is possibly the most interesting of all the Harry Potter sets. This set is huge with about 700 or so pieces. When my sister and I pulled the package out from under the Christmas tree for me to assemble (I build all of our family's Harr Potter LEGO sets, although the instructions are so clear, my six-year old sister could probably put it together, too) I expected the pieces to be all in a jumble, after all, it was a big set! Instead, I found each part of the set neatly packaged and easy to build.

The set didn't take long to make, and we had plenty of fun acting out the scenes, but mostly creating our own. Assembly is easy. It may take a while, but the finished piece is worth it. There is Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, an opening for the basilisk to come through, three towers, and the Chamber itself. This set comes with Ginny, (an important character in this book, and my favorite) Tom Riddle, (a.k.a. Voldemort at 16) Porfessor Lockhart, Ron, Fawkes, and, of course, Harry Potter.

This LEGO set comes with everything need for props (sword, diary, etc.) and will keep you occupied for hours. (at least it did for me)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Ssecrets Lego set is the #1 toy for Christmas this year.This set brings the movie to life.Parents if you have a Harry Potter fanatic in your family,this woud be the perfect gift.I strongly reccomend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry lego set.In this set you will get instructions on how to connect this to the castle.Children under 8 years of age may have difficulty building this.It took me 4 hours to build it.This is the perfect holiday gift this Christmas.If I could I would rate it 20 stars.BUY!!

This is a really good set. The first thing to say is this looks the same as the Chamber of Secrets in the movie. This set comes with:
Harry Potter
Ron Weasley
Ginny Weasley (She only comes in this set)
Tom Riddle (He only comes in this set)
Gildroy Lockhart (He is in another set but in this set he looks different)
Fawkes(Only comes in this set)
The sword of Gryffindor
Sorting Hat
The Basilisk(Who also is only in this set)
This set took me 3 hours to build and it is worth it. The doors open to reveile the sword and the Sorting Hat. You also open the door that looks like a face to reveile the Basilisk.

Yea, kinda weird, but hey, I love Legos, from the original to the giant Darth Maul I've done 'em all (or at least most of them) this Harry Potter and the Chamber of the Secrets is well worth the money. Plus this set has over 630 pieces (which might not be to much to all of you Lego maniacs)would take you a bit longer then any normal Lego set. I have been trying to complete my Harry Potter Lego collection and only need one more (and counting that I have a gift card it all works out) all of the Harry Potter Legos are outstanding, no matter how small the package may be, so, in conclusion, i reccomend that you buy THIS Lego set, and other Harry Potters, I did. (This set includes Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley [only in this set], Tom Marvolo Riddle [only in this set], Gilderoy Lockheart [Lockheart is in another set also, but looks rather different], Fawkes [only in this set], Sword of Godrick Gryffindor, The Sorting Hat, The Basilisk [only in this set])

This is a very curious Lego Harry Potter set. it isn't very much like the other ones (altough it may seem so in the box picture). While the other ones have really cool stuff, the only problem is that it's to little space. In this set, you also get all the cool stuff, just in a much wider space. Plus, if you have the lego studios kit, it is much easier to film in this set that on the other ones, since it can easily be taken apart and put back toghether. Plus, it's the very set that looks a lot like it's movie counterpart (unlike the other Harry Potter sets). Definetly a must.

this set is so awesome! it goes with all the other harry potter sets! especially the dueling chamber and snapes office bucause you can make a tower!. snapes office dueling chamber and then the moaning myrtles bathroom section of this set all one on top of the other! then you put the chamber of sectes under the castle and the tower nearby! they when you open the trap door harry ron and lochhart fall right into th middle of the chamber!
this is an awsome but is better with more harry potter sets!

I liked this set - it's one of the bigger Lego sets I've gotten (alas, no one has gotten the Hogwarts set for me yet ... ), and I enjoyed putting it together over the span of several days. (Only because I kept getting distracted.) There's several play areas, which you can arrange in several ways. There's also instructions on how to build different portions of the Chamber, so you're not bound to one set-up.

I think my main complaint, however, is the design for Salazar Slytherin's mouth. It opens like a set of doors, whereas in the movie (and in my imagination when reading the books) the mouth drops open. So I changed the design a bit to fit. I had plenty of pieces to do it with, too - so this set is even good as a builder for your own ideas.

Plus, the purple get-up for Gilderoy Lockhart is just too good to pass up.

I love this lego set. It is a lot of fun to play with and is well worth your money. I put this set on the bottom of the Hogwarts Castle and the castle has fallen many, many times but this set doesn't budge. It has many characters that aren't available in other sets. For example, Tom Riddle, Fawkes, Ginny aren't available anywhere else. So in conclusion, make sure you buy this set. It wouldn't be Hogwarts without it.

This is a great set if you like Harry Potter and to build my mom and dad liked this set even better than i did it might have taken me two hours to build it but it was worth it i bet this is the best set yet!!!
