This is a clean, fun, highly playable game. The storyline is a bit campy, but what do you expect from a Lego game? Even though it is clearly aimed at younger kids, my 15-year-old still enjoys playing against his younger siblings in two-player mode.

The graphics are clean, the audio is usually clear except that any character speaking is sort of the old Peanuts "adult" noise instead of being anything intelligible, but that allows them to create subtitles in whatever language you need without rerecording audio.

Controls are responsive, and the power-ups are creative and funny. It's fun just to watch the kids play against each other. The power-ups allow the little ones a chance to defeat their older brother.

High replayability.

I had no problem installing Lego Racers but when I tried to install Lego Racers 2 I received a "Not enough memory" window. I checked this out [...] and saw that (supposedly) neither Lego Racers will install if your computer has MORE than 2GB and recommends removing excess memory to install the games and then reinstalling the memory. I'm not sure how many people are willing to be messing with their computer's memory just to install a game. I'm sure that when these games first were released that a computer with 2GB or more was rare (especially since the system requirements state a minimum memory of 64MB which is downright unheard of nowadays). But if they are going to continue to be sold it seems to me that Valusoft should develop a patch to allow installation on a machine with over 2GB memory. And why Lego Racers installed when it apparently is supposed to suffer the same memory limit as Lego Racers 2 baffles me.

I do give the game (Lego Racers 2) a high rating for fun because my son loves playing a demo version I have. Eventually I may get around to pulling a couple memory cards just to install this game so my son has the full version. When I get him in a couple days he will get to play Lego Racers and hopefully he will have as much fun with that game as LR2.

Overall rating - 5 for Lego Racers (because it installed okay), 1 for Lego Racers 2 (because I have to pull my computer apart just to install the game).

This is a cute game...I can safely let my kids play this without supervision. Fun. Better with the wheel accessory.

I've played his game since I was six and now im 16 and i sill play it. Its fun for all ages, even old people. Me and my friend used to spend hours playing this amazing game.

When I bought this in 2008 it was only $9.99 and well worth it. My then 7 yr old son played it often for a year or so but has gone on to bigger and better things. It worked on Vista then.

Games are as described. Brand new in sealed retail box. A little challenging to install the games so they actually work as they should on newer operating systems like Vista or Seven but was finally able to get them working and my son loves them.

i loved the first but this one is even better. buy it you will love it because it is so addicting that you will want to play it all night !!![...]

This game is very good. Fun for all ages. I have liked this game since I was seven and it has rewarded me ever so much. If you like legos and are young, ant play violent games yet this is definitly for you.

A good game that our 6 year old will not stop playing or asking Daddy to play. He loves lego and lego racers but struggles to win any race and so gets frustrated - thats where Daddy has to take over and spend many hours trying to become the champion. A fun game, adictive but a little hard for 6-7 year olds.
