2.0 out of 5 stars I wish I had read up on the story behind the toys first
My 7 year old loves his Bionicles especially this set because it was challenging to put together. But If I had it to do over again I wouldn't have let my son have these toys just because I disagree with the movie and stories behind the toys. And also how expensive it is to collect all the pieces. The series doesn't end, there is continually more and more bionicles to...

Ultimate Dume shows up when Turaga Dume reveals himself to be The Makuta and sucks Nidhiki, Krekka, and Nivawk within himself and causes the Toa and Matoran he hasn't already imprisoned to leave Metru Nui. This set is a combination of Turaga Dume and Nivawk, Nidhiki, and Krekka and you save ten dollars buying this then if you bought all three separately plus you get a rare bonus mask. I personally think the set looks way cooler than the movie version. With the new ball and socket joints this set is extreamely stable. And it also comes wtith instructions for all four models. So overall this set is a great deal unless you have previously gotten Turaga Dume and Nivawk, Nidhiki, and Krekka. Then you would be spending $(...) on a mask.

this set comes with 3 sets that are cooler than they look, and you can build them into the Ultimate Dumerater who is huge!

[after taking the 3 sets apart if you built them 1st] This set is very fun to play with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Dume, Friend or Foe?, August 10, 2004

This is probably the best, and also maybe uglyest Bionicle figure. Very Poseable, The new ball joints are great, they balence the weight very well. I especially liked the special Helmet/Mask, makes it look less ugly, The hands are very poseable, and must be the focus of the set, considering they are the most poseable thing, and the only thing that isn't even on both sides, The Dume Hand (Call it that cause its made out of Dume parts) can easily hold a Toa Metru, and Matoran, the other hand (Takanuva Hand, Made from Takanuva blades) can probably only hold the Matoran, not being as poseable as the Dume Hand. The one thing besides the Helmet/Mask that makes it ugly is keeping the mouth closed.

All in all, good set, great price (save $10 and get a special edition mask), and awesome playability, Be sure to look for Ultimate Dume in Bionicle 2: Legends Of Metru-Nui.

~A fan from Bzp~

It's an OK set, I tried it, but I mean its not like TOTALLY AWESOME, just OK. I recommend it though for those who don't have any of the 2004 Titans.

This is a truly great set for any Lego fan. The pieces included can be used to create three smaller models or one large model. There are plenty of extras after making the larger model to allow for even more building.

Well, first, its Ultimate Dume. You build this Bionicle by combining Nidhiki, Krekka, and Turaga Dume and Nivwak. You can also buy it at Toys R Us for a limited time. This set is VERY big, and VERY fun! It may be expencive, but it is worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful bionicle--pricey, though!, March 10, 2006

My son really wanted this bionicle, but bionicles are so expensive that I only buy them on sale, and this item--from toysrus--was priced reasonably (about half the normal price). It's really beautiful, with at least three complicated and attractive figures buildable from this one set, and is pretty sturdy (none of the pieces fly off, as is sometimes the case). I'd say it's the best one I've seen yet, worth a full $25 or so. Unfortunately, the normal retail price is more like $50.
