The best Lehar collection!,

This review is from: Lehár: Fata Morgana (Suites, Dances and Intermezzi) (Audio CD)
This is the most exciting collection of Lehar orchestral music there is. Every piece is great. There's a lot of a Magyar sound but as the pieces span Lehar's career there are many other sounds in here as well. Most of the CD is loud and riveting. It is truly exciting, it makes you want to get up and move. This is my favorite compilation of Lehar orchestral music. The sound quality is superb and the included booklet gives a brief history on the pieces and operettas and the many pieces they were taken from. Perhaps one day we will get them in complete form but for now this CD does a great job at wetting the appetite. This CD is a must have for any classical music lover and I promise it will get many many a repeat listening.
